I hear ya mate, I know what thats like!!! if she is teething, you could try what I do with DS. only need to do it for a day or two.
At first I give panadol because it works quicker, then two hours later, give nurofen, then two hours after that give panadol. and continue for as long as you think she needs it in the day. Plus, I also give him SM33 to numb his gums. I think I only had to do this routine for about 2 days. Then panadol was enough. If its her first teeth they are often the most painful. I remember it being the worst week of my life! Big hugs and hope it gets better!!!!

Nurofen is good for inflamed issues like teeth, however two medications like that shouldn't be given together unless on doctors orders. It's a lot for their little livers to process IYKWIM? I'm also wary of giving any pain relief regulalry longer than 2 days. Usually there's another cause if it's required.
You can give panadol 4-6hourly or 4 times in 24hours
and Nurofen 6-8 hourly or 3 times in 24hours

Have you tried bonjella or similar?
Does she have any other symptoms?

She may be awful today because she's so tired from last night too.

Kim - I did check with both a pharmacist and two doctors about the amount of nurofen and panadol. they all confirmed that using both at the same time were fine because they do different things for the pain.

Oh, and apparently bonjella isn't the best stuff to use, they just like it because of the taste. Doesn't do much for pain relief (apparently) A pharmacist friend told me that. She recommended SM33 which worked MUCH faster and longer for DS than bonjella ever did.

I too have checked & have been told it's ok to use both panadol & nurofen together as mentioned. However I only do this in extreme cases.
Can you see any lumps or white lines, is bubs drooling heaps, tugging on ear, have a temp, fussy eating. Usually teething has these types of signs or other symptoms than just not sleeping.
ATM we think Charlie is teething, though isn't completely off his food, so just using bonjela & working fine for sleeps. And for the record Charlie hates it & it's a pain to get him to take any teething gel so we use an applicator.

so ill try bonjella and sm33, not at the same time but ill try both 2 c which works best 4 Bella. No she doesn't tug at her ears and she's not off her food, She's a little of the breast but has it during the night so she's diffenatly not missing out. I see perfect outlines of lil teeth, it's as if her gums r kind of transperant and i c outlines of the teeth 2 come. Can i get sm33 and bonjella from the supermarket? She's really hating the taste of panadol but she still takes it.

I agree with Mel though SM33 seems ....hmmm ...stronger?
