Your bringing all the memories from DS2 back to me, no real advice as we somehow made it through but not sure what we did. I'm just sneaking in to have a look at others ppl's responses gee i hope this bub is going to behave.
I haven't posted a announcement Heaven so that's probably why.. Congrats on your DD2 too if i didn't post on your birth announcement either.
He still isn't the best sleeper to this day, we are onto the tough mummy love at the moment because going gentle he just seems to be taking me for a ride LOL funnily enough i was reading your post and it was so similar to DS2 that i could have written that myself and i thought i didn't have enough milk but i now know better. It's hard because my DS1 was such a dream sleeper but we co slept with him so i don't know if that made a difference with setting his sleep routine early. Definately thinking about getting a hammock for this bub though. In the end i think you do what ever gets you through, another thing is that i pushed so much for him to sleep better in the day that i messed up his night routine silly, silly me.
Thanks Negrita. She had a good afternoon nap yesterday and then only woke once overnight and today has been sleeping all day! She's letting me put her down again and not waking after only 10 mins. She just had a 2hr nap, then woke and fed and 1/2hr later fell asleep again and I've put her back down no problem. So I have no idea what's going on. Maybe it was just a wonder week? Or maybe I'm just having a good day and it'll be back to crappy sleep again tomorrow, lol. I'm enjoying it while it lasts though!
Aww hun, thats awesome!! sounds like you had a good day
AFM: well it wasn't a bad day, but it wasn't great either. she slept for 2hrs from 11.30am til 1.30pm which was bliss! when she woke at 1.30pm i fed her, played with her, watched for the tired signs which she started showing at about 2.15pm so picked her up cuddled/rocked her she fell asleep and i put her in her bassinette, but she woke up 15mins later screaming and would not settle - ended up putting her in her in the ergo with me at 2.45pm so i could actually play with and entertain DD1 and she slept i there for nearly 3 hrs - like you, im trying not to do things that i know she will need in order to get to sleep, but sometimes, its just easier to 'give in' and go with what they want and worry about the "rod" im building later - what i dont understand with my DD2 is that she will sleep well overnight (4-6hr stretches depending on the night) but her day sleeps are just rubbish and she wants to be held by me all time
im hoping its just a stage, but she's been like this since 3 weeks of age, so i think im doing some major wishful thinking that her day naps will suddenly become good!!
I don't get it either!! They can sleep at night for longer stretches and sometimes have long day naps but what's with the waking up after 15mins deal, grr.... Hope it improves for you.
Having a good day again here. She's now pretty much been asleep for the last 5 hrs, lol. She's been up and down and had 2 feeds in that time but just gone straight back to sleep feeding. But she's letting me put her down when she's asleep today so that's good. Maybe she was having a growth spurt coz when she wasn't sleeping good she was feeding lots, like every hour! So maybe she's building up my milk supply coz she's getting big! And now she's sleeping and growing.
Who knows! I suppose tomorrow will all be different again! You never know what's going to happen. Thank God she's cute lol
