OK, I know this is going to sound strange (), but I would suggest gently telling her before she goes to sleep at night that if she wakes up, she doesn't need to cry out, she can just close her eyes and she will go back to sleep all by herself. I know it sounds far-fetched and I remember scoffing at the thought when my sister suggested I try it with DD!

Our DD's look to be similar in age? My DD really does understand what I'm saying and the nights I've said the above to her, she has slept all night without a peep. This includes last night! The night before last she kept waking up wanting me to come in and putting her dummy in, I was so tired. So I gently told her as I was putting her to bed last night that instead of calling out, just find your dummy by yourself (it's on a chain) and go back to sleep. She listened because she didn't call out once last night, I had the best night sleep I'd had in ages

It might not work for everyone, but I reckon it's worth a go!
