hi
welcome to bellybelly
when we first come off any hormonal contraceptive our bodies can take a little while to adjust. your cycle may not go straight back to a 28day. this one might be longer.
it took 6 months for my cycle to get normal again after the pill.
i hope you do get a bfp(big fat positive) really soon. in the meantime jump into one of the ttc threads. lots of great info and great ladies in there.
good luck
Yes you might - my sister had negative HPT (home pregnancy test) up til about a week after her AF was due. No idea why - my nephew was born after an induction @ 42 weeks so maybe she ovulated later than she thought?
It is a very inexcact thing, best bet is to keep waiting!
I've always found First Response tests to be very accurate and quite sensitive. There could be a few reasons for a negative result.
1. Your cycle may take a while to stabilise and therefore AF may still be on the way (therefore, not pregnant).
2. Your cycle may be longer than expected which means you may have ovulated later than expected and you are either not pregnant and AF is still on the way, or you may be very early pregnant and it's still too early to test.
3. User error when doing the test can give false negatives. I know they seem pretty easy to use, but you'd be amazed that people get it wrong
Try waiting a few days and see if AF shows up. If not, grab another test
interesting. I have had similar. I am now 4 days late also. I had positive OPK's but then got very sick (stupid virus and then secondary infection). When I was sick I had some spotting and cramping (I don't normally cramp). I've done 4 HPT's - all negative. No symptoms other than reflux and a couple of bouts of random nausea. Reflux I get from time to time so don't count as a symptom and the nausea could be because of my AB's.
