    Thumbs up Acupuncture

    Hey girls,

Just wanted to share this experience with you.

After return of AF, my cycles where only 3 weeks apart with a lp of maybe only 9 days.
This cycle I have been to an acupuncturist and my cycle is now 31 days with a lp of 13 days!

So if you have any doubts, I highly recommend acupuncture!!

(now I just keep (almost) everything crossed in the hope I will be utd again in 3 months like list time i went to an acupuncturist!!)

I had accupuncture for the first time on friday and it was great. It didnt hurt at all, had some strange aches while the needles were in but they didnt hurt. I had accupuncture because I am gearing up to TTC number 2 and I have had miscarriages in the past and really dont want to go through that again. I actually went for the chinese medicine not accupuncture but after they assessed me they decided to give me some, just to get my cycle back to normal because I am still breasfeeding.
That night I had ovulation pain on the right side and the next day on the left side so something was definantly happening.
They said they can also help me with morning sickness if I happen to suffer from it.
I highly recommend it to anyone.

I had accupunture the week before we conceived our angel bub and after 6 months TTC got our BFP. Since the m/c have been going again, i feel it really helps. We have not been TTC the last 2 months but i have had two 28 day cycles, so can't ask for any better than that!!

    Hi
I have been thinking about having accupuncture too as my cycles have been really irregular.
Just wondering how often you are having the accupuncture?
Also prob a weird question but how many needles do they put in and where abouts do they go on your body?
    Thanks

    Hi Girls

Just want to share my success story with you. After going 10 months with no AF and no ovulation, I decided to give Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine a go. Within 1 month of starting, I ovulated and got AF, and on the very next cycle, I got my BFP.

I without a doubt, owe my pregnancy to acupuncture, and highly recommnend it to anyone who is open to new things.

Tayahs Mummy - I was going weekly to fornightly, and I had pins in heaps of different places. How many, and where they put them depends on the symptoms you present. I had them in my face, ears, stomach, arms, wrists, legs, ankles, toes and back. I hate needles, but was fine with the pins, I hardly felt any of them. I also took my herbs religiously, and did exactly what my Dr said (ie - dont eat this or that, drink only filtered water, limit sugar intake etc)

One piece of advice which i quickly learnt was to find someone who specialises in womens health and fertility issues.

I wish you all luck with you continuing journeys, and hope you find success with acupuncture if you decide to try it.

    I also go weekly/fortnightly.

I get needles in my head, ears, chest, belly and legs.
Sometimes they are a bit painful going in, but after that, you don't feel them anymore.

    Acupuncture

I love acupuncture! I used it along with remedial massage and physio to manage PSD during pregnancy, as well as using it to prepare my body for labour. I had induction accupuncture on my due date and my waters broke a few minutes later, before the accupuncturist had even left my house! I've also used it in the past to treat car crash injuries, to aleviate leg problems from having a broken foot, and to attack recurring sinusitis. It has worked like a treat every single time.

I'm planning to get back in touch with my accupuncturist now as I've heard of accupuncture to increase milk supply, which i'm currently having huge issues with, and I'd really like to give it a try.

Kts64s - not sure where in Sydney you're hoping for, but I can highly recommend my accupuncturist who operates out of Annandale as well as the Eastern suburbs, she also does remedial massage, accupressure, and is a doula too! PM me if you want her details.

ETA - just realised this is quite an old thread that's just been reserrected. I'm still able to pass on those details if anyone wants them though.

    Balmaingal,

I would love to have your AC details! I am thinking about having some acupuncture to regulate my cycle. 8 months ago I came off BC and ovulation is all over the place and I have a quite short luteal phase. I am hoping to correct it that way.

I just moved to Sydney from overseas and so I am a bit lost. I had a very good experience with acupuncture as a kid (for hayfever though!). Any recommendations would be much appreciated - I live in the eastern suburbs.

Any other success stories for acupuncture and cycle regulation/pg?

Tinaki, I will PM you her contact details. I see her in Annandale, but she also works somewhere over in the Eastern suburbs on some days. She also does fantastic remedial massage, and is a doula so very focussed in this field.

    Good luck with it!

I don't think you can receive PM's, it wouldn't go through.

If you google Art of Health in Annandale you will
Find contact details, and her name is Svenja.

Well I have been having acupuncture twice a month fro three cycles now. I love it, it doesn't hurt at all. I was just wondering for anyone who has used it how long they took to get a +ve pg test. I'm getting a little impatient...

    Hi Girls

One piece of advice which i quickly learnt was to find someone who specialises in womens health and fertility issues.
I second that!! I had Acupuncture done after trying to conceive DD for 6mths and nothing was happening and I was pregnant within 2 cycles of seeing her!!! It was definitely the thing that helped us too I believe and it really helps!! There is definitely something in it. My acupuncturist specialises in women's health and fertility also so that was a huge thing in it for me rather than just seeing any Acupuncturist you know?

We're onto cycle #3 trying for #2 and it's time now to visit the Acupuncturist again as I really don't want it to take as long as it did last time.......

I see my AP a few days before I'm due to ovulate.....
