Red face Aircon affecting temps & TTC....

    Hi Girls,

Well, I just have to ask this!

Each night we have our aircon (ducted) in our house on 24 degrees (recommended temp) and it switches off at 10:30pm each night when we go to bed as we don't like sleeping with aircon on, and then in the mornings it switches on at 5:30am and we wake at 6am. It makes it more comfortable for us and helps us go to sleep at night in a 'comfortable' environment rather than hot, humid & sticky one!

On cd18 (see chart if you like) my temp was sooo low as i woke up really cold as i had forgotten to put the aircon back to 24 and it was on 22.... I understand this 'may' have caused my temp dip or it may not have....

Reason I'm posting, is that is it possible that the airconditioning is affecting my chances of conceiving?? We sleep under a sheet & doona so i'm always nice & warm, it was just the other day i woke up freezing cos my DH had stolen the doona off me!

Is it easier to conceive in a 'warmer' environment? Has this been proven??

Just had to ask!!! I don't want to jeopardise my chances of conceiving with the aircon on, cos if thats the case then i'll happily switch it off!!!

    TIA.

Hey Ren, I hope Nicambhar comes in and tells you her story about the accupuncturist!! Might be relevant, I can't really remember the whole story though!

I had aircon in the house DS was conceived in...I would think it would be favourable rather than otherwise, as heat can damage DH's sperm and also heat can cause problems if you get pg.

Yer, I think it would be more favourable rather than not too.

Thank you girls, that puts my mind at ease
I knew that overheating sperm was bad just wasnt sure about the woman's body but it would probably work on the same principles huh?

I think it would probably work on the same principles because you are not meant to get overheated when your pregnant ect.

I would think having aircon would INCREASE your chances of getting pg ... turn it to 17 degrees and snuggle, snuggle, SNUGGLE!!!!!!
