    am I pregnant?

I have been with my boyfriend for about a year and we stopped using contraception (I know it's irresponsible and I have my reasons). Every month without fail I get panicky about being pregnant and buy a bunch of tests only for my "symptoms" to just be my period coming and I wipe my brow in relief. Anyway this month I didn't really do that. In fact about 1 week after my last period I got a horrendous stabbing pain in my lower stomach area and joked with my mum that I must be ovulating. Then that week followed with cramping down my legs which I shrugged off. I started to feel really sick last week which resulted in a lot of car stopping on the way to work as I thought I was going to throw up. I then noticed a lot of discharge and thought I may have a spot of bacteria vagenosis and tried to get a doctors appointment. (Which didn't end up happening as there were no appointments until Monday (2 days time) my mum said (on Thursday) that I should do a pregnancy test which I laughed at thinking I wasn't due on for another week. I forgot to mention I am 24 year old. Anyway I was walking past a boots chemist on Friday morning and had only peed once so thought why the hell not. When I did it, within 2 mins a very faint line appeared an I do mean very faint but a line all the same an I freaked out. I then bought a mountain of more tests which all came back negative until this mornings which I drowned due to being very tired while doing it. It took 20 mins for even the normal line to appear and then another faint line appeared but I'm skeptical due to not doing the test properly. I have been now getting a lot of stabbing pains in my side and worked out I'm 3 days late so far. I also woke up with migraines last night, have lost my appetite but when I'm eating I'm eating loads and not getting full. I have cried more than usual. I'm really worried. Do any of you think I may be pregnant of one of these false positives I keep reading about? Any input would be greatly appreciated

Yes you very well could be. It is rare to get a false positive, and very common to get a false negatives.

Take another text in two days time with your first morning urine.

    Good luck.

Get a blood test from your Gp.

I would either wait a couple of days and then test again OR get an appt with your GP for a blood test.

I hope either way you have the support you need to deal with it.

it does sound like you are pregnant. Very rare to get a positive result (unless they are evaporative lines...no colour to the second line, but more like a shadow).

Sounds as though there is a very good chance you are pregnant.....good idea about going to the Dr at least then you will know one way or the other.

    Wishing you all the best.
