It is not really known for how long after ovulation you are fertile - some people think for up to a week. Did you only DTD on the 29th or on other days? If you did DTD before the 29th, it is possible for sperm to look like fertile CM. Fertile CM is usually completely clear, like egg whites (crack open an egg and have a look if you're not sure and stretch it between your fingers). If the globe that stretched all stuck together, it may have only been sperm and you may have already ovulated. Judging just on your observations, I would be guessing ovulation on CD14 - the 26th. I could be wrong though.

The only way to know for absolute certain that you ovulated is to temp. It is possible to get all the other signs of ovulation but unless your temp rises ovulation can't be confirmed. The other observations are only secondary and temping is the most accurate and reliable.

We only DTD on the 29th none before. The CM on the 28th was clear stretchy egg white, - which made me think 'whats going on here'? I was sure I was done for this month going on all other symptoms.

Yup, this is really the only way to be sure. If I was charting to avoid, I'd wait until temp increase and then 24 hrs before DTD. I don't think CM is reliable at all. I've had cycles where the egg white CM came and went for days, and I kept thinking I'd ov'ed but hadn't. The cycle we conceived DD I ov'ed on about day 18 I think, and we would've totally missed the chance if I hadn't been checking temps.

If you ov'ed on day 16, which sounds possible given your usual cycle length and symptoms, yes, you could've been fertile on the day after. If you are really concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, you're still within the window for the emergency contraceptive if that is something you would consider. You have up to 72hrs after DTD.

I think I will be having a 'normal' 28 days this month, as I have had some of the mid twinges that I get that means I am a week or so out from A.F, which means ov more than likely occurred earlier in the week so missed by a long shot.

I can remember when I was 16 and had my first period, I complained to my mum for weeks about this 'stitch' like pain right in the middle above the bladder- of course she knew what was going on and wasn't at all surprised when I rang her at work one morning crying my eyes out because 'there is no room in my life for periods!!' - that was the end of my swimming career because I couldn't cope with wearing tampons! lol!

Just the last 2 nights though I have had the mother of all headaches and thought I might have been getting a cold, but I am ok today- so Im not stressing now and the headaches might go away!

Hi.

Not long to wait now, I have been a bit out of sorts this week. Last weekend I just felt crook, bad headache all weekend and felt like I was getting a cold, temp of 36.5 but still felt like I was burning up. But monday was fine. The PMS depression kicked in big time- mind it was a little early and this week has been nothing but low and tears, then I saw the 'cottage cheese' post ov....yep....I think A.F is a coming!
I have been just exhausted and all I have done this week was sit and crochet. At least keeping my mind counting stitches as I go around Im not a blubbing mess! he he!
One after noon I had to go down for a afternoon sleep and that isn't like me at all. I can remember once before I was due for A.F and I was so tired I kept wishing they would hurry up and come!...AMEN to that..two weeks of my month are just the pits! THE week [AF], and the week before [PMS]. Not fair is it girls!!!!

So I doubt very much I would have conceived

Other than that, I haven't had any thing else, no soreness anywhere, no sickness, no cramps, a little EW but that might be just. yeah!.UKWIM!!!!

Anyhow, will let you all know if I am right about my next cycle coming.
