any ideas as to what the heck is going on with me?
Mods, please feel free to move....
I have no idea what is going on with me. AF was due on 15 August but we still have a no-show. And I have taken SIX HPTs (the last being this morning) and all 6 were BFNs. I have been super regular in my cycle up until now.
The difficult thing is that with pg 1 and 2 I had very few, if any, symptoms during the first trimester. That said, I have felt oddly dizzy, occasionally nauseous, had a tender tummy and been visiting the loo more often (I think!)
I've googled chemical pregnancy and don't think its that because usually women get a positive on a HPT, yes? Could it be an ectopic preg? I have a doctors appointment this Saturday to try and get to the bottom of what is going on but wondered if anyone might have some ideas? I am just getting frustrated because I see this as something which is stopping me from getting on with the business of TTC#3....
ETA : I had BFNs with both boys, but much earlier on that this.
I had negs with all my pg's till at least 6 weeks...one of them had the Dr so worried he sent me for a laperoscopy - bubs was happily sitting there....I think some women just dont show as much hormone as others. you get the result you're after!
Oh it must be so frustrating! I find that as I get older I become less regular... so I lost trust in my regularity as such. My most accurate symptoms were as you described... the nausea and "fullness" around the bladder/uterus region. Also as you might remember with my situation last year, having a period also didn't necessarily "prove" anything either! It's so darn hard. I think ectopic would manifest as pain quite early... but I could be wrong.
Thanks girls I wouldn't be surprised if I am just one of those women in the 1% who HPTs tends not to work for. I never suffered a drop of morning sickness in either of my pregnancies and if I remember correctly, the same hormon HPTs test is the one which causes morning sickness. Fingers crossed! I just want to know what is going on.
I googled other possible explanantions for no period and early menopause came up - I don't think that is me. My grandmother stopped having AF when she was 61 and my mother didn't go through it til she was 58 LOL!
Rory, is there any chance of getting to the GP sooner, like today? I think that's going to be your best bet in working this out that it's a BFP for you hun!!!
