    hey Kat,

Great to hear that your temps are up now I don't noticeable get O pains at all... would love that extra indicator! I know, it was a terrible feeling thinking that I might just not O at all this month...

my temps are usually a little bit rocky...but not as much as this month! I have only been charting temp for roughly 3 months, so I am definitely no expert.
But I think if you are right and O day was CD18 for me, we may have missed the eggie this month... as we only BD'd on CD 15 and then were apart for a few days but we'll see soon. I am thinking I might even test on Monday morning if my temps haven't dropped much by then. Otherwise, keep going as usual until late Sep when we are off to see the FS.

got my fingers crossed for you!

My timing wasn't the best this month either. I kinda gave up. We BD's fantastically when I was meant to O but got slack after that.

My temp is still 36.8 today which I am really impressed with.

I don't usually get O pains either (maybe a niggle here and there) but I had really bad pains this time around. I wonder if that means a large healthy strong egg. Just my luck that I get a really good egg and I gave up BDing.

Fantastic that your temp is still up. I hope that it stays that way. Good luck for tomorrow morning!

    Cheers Kat.

OOOOOOOO!!!!! One I can maybe help with. I just bought a 3-pack of FR, and it came with a fertility test. It's not an OPK, it's a test you take on CD3 to see if your body has the follicle stimulating hormone in it. Check out First Response® - Fertility Test For Women for more information.

According to what I read, it will tell you if you have enough FSH to mature an egg for ovulation. If you don't, you won't have any eggs available to ovulate even with the LH surge. So if a negative FSH test, no need to check OPKs that month as you won't have an egg either. And as you only test on CD3, you only need one a cycle.

So, if you have either no FSH or no LH surge, you will not O. You need both, but that still won't guarentee that you will ovulate either - the temp rise will be the best indicator of that that you can do at home.

Ummm... this is all just research though. I can't remember well enough to temp daily... I have not had AF since my IUD came out last month so no chance to try OPKs yet (I might in a couple cycles if I don't get UTD by then), and I will likely use the Fertility test my next CD3. But I've done a LOT of studying on all this.

Thanks for the tip Buggzter! How nice of you to do all that research for us
I think AF is on her way so I won't be able to try the fertility test out this month.... I would have to order it online as I haven't seen those around and I live in a country town. I am off to the FS in about a month anyway. Best of luck to you with getting UTD quickly!

Have my fingers crossed for you Kat, all sounding promising with your temps so far. I know what you mean about BD on demand... it gets a bit much sometimes! Just counted, and this month now makes 15 we have been TTC. It's getting a bit draining, but I am going to try and stay positive!

LMM I hope that AF stays away.

I'm still confused about my cycle. Temp still up but 36.6 rather than 36.8. I'll guess I'll reflect when this month is over.

we decided to TTC in Feb 2009 I have been seriously trying since January 2010 (charting, temping etc). Prior to Jan I really didn't know what I was doing even though I thought I did, if that makes sense. Also I have not been using BCP in years but just avoided the danger period. So it's been a while for me too.

When I first read your message I thought you said you'd BD'd 15 times this month - OMG can you imagine that !!!

    ..............................................

Buggztez that product sounds great but I've never seen that product in Australia nor have I ever heard any of my friends talk about it. I'll check it out though. I gather that FL means Florida.

So frustrating - so many things that are spoken about are not availabe in Aust.

    LMM are you in Aust?

    hey Kat

I think your temp still sounds like it's in a good range. What day are you now? Haha, yes, I can imagine DTD 15 times we used to be like bunnies (but not really anymore!)

I'm very confused here too! I'm on day 30 now, started getting what I thought were AF pains on Sunday night... but still no show. Pains again a little tonight and I seriously never have pains days before getting AF. I also had a change in my CM a few days ago and then significant temp drop today. Really at a loss as to what's going on - two pregnancy tests have been neg
Hit a point today where I just bawled! Frustration and confusion and a sense of helplessness just got the better of me. But I have calmed down now! And decided I am going to go get some acupuncture/massage to try and get my cycle regular again. I found shiatsu and chinese herbs fantastic when I was doing that regularly. I just thought I was back in a good balance now, but apparently not. Yes, I'm on the sth coast of NSW... what about you?

LMM I just looked at your chart again - so sorry to see that AF turned up. A good cry will always make you feel better - it does for me.

I agree with you going back to do Acupuncture. I've been doing acupuncture and herbs for 7 weeks now. I really enjoy it but haven't noticed any changes yet - I'm just trusting that it is working.

Have you heard of SOY? Do you use the forums on FF? I noticed a number of women talking about SOY and then on the weekend I found a forum dedicated to SOY - there is a dedicated Acupuncture forum too so you should have a look at it.

Apparently SOY works like Chlomid, you take it several days in a row before O. According to the women who use it, taken CD1 to CD5 it will increase the number of follicles and taken later such as CD5 to CD9 it will increase the size and quality of the follicle that will erupt. I'm going to try it next month as a lot of women are reporting success. I'll ask my Acu on Saturday first to make sure that it won't affect the herbs that I take.

The only Soy I can find is Blackmores PHYTOLIFE (sold to ease Menopause symptoms). The ingredients are Soy and Calcuim so neither will harm us. You shoud have a look at the forum on FF.

Yeah if we were TTC when we first met - 15 times would have been a breeze. Now it just horrifies me!

I'm a Brissy girl but I've been living in Melbourne for the last 7 years.

AF sucks. Be kind to yourself!
