Question anyone have +OPK's and find out later that their eggs weren't releasing properly?

Just wondering as TTC is taking us so long, yet I have strong +OPK result, so thought it could be possible that the hormone surge is there, but the isn't getting where it needs to be waiting for the ? Any thoughts?

Would love to hear any relevant experiences!

    thanks,

    Hello LMM,
I can't say much other than it is not likely you would have an LH surge and no O. Whilst it is possible, it is just not likely. DO you temp? Your temp rise should show that you have O'd. Even tracking CM and other signs, such as cervix position can tell you whether O has happened or is about to happen. It is very confusing I know, but there are a few things we can do to get a good idea of what is going on. Blood tests are the best way to more accurately indicate ovulation, but a thermometer by your bed and daily charting is the next best thing.

    Good luck hun

    Thanks for your reply Dragonbub

I am charting and temping. Had a positive OPK a few days ago and have had EWCM for a week. But temps are doing a sawtooth pattern - basically going from 36.3 to 36.0 and back up and back down... !! Fertility Friend also says that O hasn't been detected I'm on CD18 now and usually O about CD14. Have jut realised my temps are usually climbing steadily by now, seems like something weirs is going on.

The only thing you mentioned that I don't do (and don't really understand) is checking cervix position.
Do you think any doctor might actually organise regular blood tests for this purpose? I am starting to feel like I'm wearing sunglasses at night!

    Thanks again...

LMM what ended up happening? Did you actually O?

Your situation is the same as mine this month. I am CD18 without a temp rise as well. I had a good week of fertile CM and O pains (as late as yesterday) but my temp has remained at 36.3 or 36.35. By now it'd be much higher. I'm really baffled.

    Cheers,

    hi Kat

once my temps rose two days in a row (about CD 20/21), FF marked CD18 as O day on my chart. But then when temp dropped slightly the following day... FF actually changed my O day, saying it was CD16! I have never had that happen before (and am a little skeptical I have to say). Now I am on CD26 and temp has gone up up up last three days. Feeling exhausted but not cranky, which is unusual for me at this stage of my cycle... so fingers crossed!

Will be interesting to see what happens for you. Are your cycles usually fairly consistent each month?

    HI LMM ...

Looking at your chart I'd say CD18 was your O day. Your temps are quite rocky. I'm assuming this isn't usual for you either. At CD26 its great that your temps are still up there. FX for you.

I've not had any drama's since I started charting in February. My cycle is usually 28 days (give or take a few) with O either CD 14 or CD15.

I was really concerned that I wasn't going to O at all this month.

Thankfully my temp finally went up today, CD19. I have been sitting on 36.3 / 36.35 for most of the week. Today it shot up to 36.8 so I'm happy about that.

I'd have to agree that O was yesterday as I had stabbing O pain on Thursday night. I'm not sure if I should be concerned about the stabbing O pain though.

    Cheers,
    Kat.
