Anyone know about estrogen levels post ovulation??

    Hi

I am wondering what your estrogen levels are meant to do after ovulation. Do they rise? Fall? How long after ovulation?

Does it depend if you conceive that cycle?

Thanks! Any info would be great

Estrogen falls, rises again about 7DPO then falls again. It doesnt rise as much as progesterone.

    Check out wikipedia:
Luteal phase - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This may explain why I simetimes get EWCM after O..... (just to add TMI )

    Also from wiki:
During pregnancy, estrogen levels, including estradiol, rise steadily toward term. The source of these estrogens is the placenta, which aromatizes prohormones produced in the fetal adrenal gland.

    Thanks

I am 8dpo (6 days past 2 day transfer) and since yesterday I have had that awful metallic taste in my mouth. Apparently it is caused by rising estrogen.

Last time I had it was when I had 14 large follies prior to egg collection. My estrogen levels were high then according to blood test.

I've heard of the metallic taste but had no idea it's linked to estrogen. That would explain why it's common in early pg though, I'm guessing.

I had it with my pg with DD1 for a little while at the beginning. So you can go with reliable anecdotal evidence, as well as Dr Google.

I think you are safe to board a plane.

If by some miracle I am UTD (highly, highly unlikely given (a) my long history of failure, and (b) my complete lack of symptoms other than metal mouth which is probably not related) you will hear me scream no matter where in the world you are
