anyone on microgon 50 ed. help please

hi im on the pill microgon 50 ed and i am wanting another baby with my partner. but i am unsure as to stoppint the pill. where do i stop and not get a withdrawel bleed? i have already tried stopping it twice and both times got a withdrawel bleed.

id just finish the tablets, have your period then not go back on them

You'll get a withdrawal bleed where ever you stop them. The best thing to do is what Olive suggested, just don't go back on them after your period.

ok. so i have the sugar tablets and once i get to the hormone tablets i dont take them, the hormone tablets in the bleed section do i take them or start not taking them there?

That's right, if you want to go off the pill don't take any hormone tablets even if they are in the bleed section.

If you go to the end of the hormone tablets and stop at the sugar ones it will be the same as the period you get on the sugar tablets. When i was on Microgynon it was only 3 days or so but is probably different for everyone.

im up to the first day of bleeding. so ive taken 3 sugar pills. would it be ok to stop taking them when im due for the next pill or when i get to the hormone ones still in the red section.

Hi, just thought I'd add my bit, hope you don't mind.

I just stopped in the middle of the packet when I decided to get pregnant the first time. I had my period (withdrawal bleed) and then got up the duff straight away. If you are taking the sugar tablet's just stop and don't take any more. It's my understanding that the sugar are just to keep you in the routine of taking a tablet every day, they don't actually have anything in them.

Yep I'm with TUP and TInks, just stop taking them. THey're only sugar tablets so your body won't withdraw from them.

I fell pg on them with N and that was skipping the white sugar pills and going straight onto the hormones ones as doctor suggested I do it so AF wouldnt turn up on my wedding day.


On a different light, atleast if you have a withdrawlal bleed you you;ll know what day your cycle started

thanks for the help and advice. ive stopped taking the sugar pills as of today.i will let you know how that goes. but one more question.

Will the bleeding be longer or will it run its course as normal. and stop sunday night?

It will be the same as usual. So it will stop on Sunday night if it always does for yuo.

the bleedign has stopped it stopped on sunday as it would if i was taking the pill normally. but now im noticing that when i had the cysts burst and removed on the righ hand side. the pain is back. would thet be a cyst grown back or the adhesions have joined again.
