Anyone tried Letrozole?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice/experience to share..
My FS is swapping me from Clomid to Letrozole, as a bit of a compromise- he thinks we should be starting IVF and I'm no way ready for that

My understanding is that Letrozole does the same thing as clomid but in a different way? and (quote from the info the FS gave us)" Patients using Letrozole experience fewer side effects and have an improved response". So it sounds good to me

anyone else tried it?

I tried letrozole - My FS used it to induce ovulation for frozen embryo transfers. I would have to say that it worked well in that I did ovulate on letrozole where I didn't on clomid. Clomid also caused what can only be described as a complete nervous breakdown, while with letrozole I was much more stable. For some weird reason I get anxious when my estrogen levels are raised, I could cope with it on letrozole, but not on clomid. I did get hot flushes and headaches while on the tablets, but they were tolerable.

Ahh, that sounds all too familier. Thank you so much for your responce. I'm feeling really positive about the Letrozole now
