Bad morning sickness in 1st pregnancy. How did you feel about ttc #2?

Not sure if this is the appropiate area for this question so please move it if it needs to be mods..

My question is to those who had bad morning sickness in their first pregnancy - how did you feel about getting pregnant again?

DH and I are looking at ttc soon and he is very excited but I am soooo apprehensive due to my 1st pregnancy. A bit of background on it is that I was sick from even before I even realised I was pg until about 6 or 7 months, not just in the morning but all day pretty much. I had about a month or so where I felt great and then the m/s started back up 2 weeks before I had DS.
Most people say to me either "It might not happen a 2nd time' or "It was only a bit of morning sickness" which only 'a bit of m/s' for me included constant vomiting, living on icypoles and chocolate for energy, hospital stays and at one point a 6 wk stretch where I couldn't get off the couch, I just lay under blankets wearing woollen jumpers at the height of summer.

I'm not being all 'woe is me' but I just wanted to know how others coped with the idea of being pregnant again. With a two year old to consider, I don't know if I am stressing too much about how he'll cope. Despite the yuk pregnancy I was rewarded with a very lovely boy who is my world.
This post is a bit rambled, I guess I am just looking for the experiences of others. Thanks!

that is one of the reasons why I have 4.9 years between my two girls.

The ms was not so bad with DD2 as it was with DD1.
With DD1 I was much like you but with DD2 it really felt like a walk in the park compared to DD1. I did have a very sensitive gag reflex with DD2 though. So while I still had my head in the toilet bowl most days at least once or twice. I didn't have the crippling nausea.

I know just what you are feeling I have always wanted more than 1 child and I am hoping for 3, with my first preg the MS lasted 17.5 weeks and much the same as you. It got to the point where I did not want to leave the house, it was all day and all night.
I was dreading it this time around, it has been bad but not as bad as the first time but still horrible enough. The good thing was though that it only lasted 7 weeks this time, a long 7 weeks but better than 17.5 weeks.
I know this probably didnt make you feel better but just thought I would share.

With my first pregnancy I had m/s from 3 weeks right up until I birthed my daughter. I even had it in labour. It was bad, and I had to stop work at 24 weeks because of it.
With my second pregnancy, I didn't have any m/s at all.
It honestly didn't even cross my mind when ttc #2. I figured if I got it again, there's not much I can do about it. There's only a 23 month gap between #1 & #2.
I had m/s with this pregnancy between 8-18 weeks, so it was hard. But it's gone, for now.
