BD around (but not on) O day

Hello everyone,

I thought my O day was coming up this weekend, but I'm tracking my BBT on FF and it has detected that O happened three days ago! (Not a lot of CM this cycle, so that didn't tip me off.) We DTD on the two days before O and the two days after O - but missed O day completely because I wasn't expecting it!

Just wondering if anyone can offer advice or experiences about BDing before and/or after O, but actually missing O day for various reasons. Any stories of conception under these circumstances?

I'm sure you'll hear loads of success stories We swayed for a girl with #2 by dtd 2 or 3 days before o and that was it. You'll prob find even fertility friend will say you have a high chance of success with that timing. Don't stress good luck!

Definitely possible! Girly spermies live longer on the journey anyway, up to 5 days actually!

Remember that although Fertility Friend is pretty accurate, it relies on you entering your fertility signs correctly (and taking your temps accurately) so it could be out by a day or two anyway. The month I fell pregnant with DD, Fertility Friend rated my chances of pregnancy pretty low and hey presto, we were UTD. We DTD 5 days before and on they day I O'd and I was using digital ovulation tests.

Definitely a real chance! We DTD on CD10, I ovulated on CD14, and we conceived our DD.
We are planning to gender sway for a girl next time, so we will be DTD 3-4 days before O.

Yep we dtd on CD11, ovulated CD15 which resulted in the current little bundle I'm carrying

DS is a result of thinking it was ok 4 or 5 days before O. That and the complete lack of any pregnancy symptoms is part of the reason I didn't get a HPT until I was 8 weeks or so ...

The other two were just the combination of O+alcohol+nookie.

I'm actually a good example of the opposite of what they say for timing it for gender

Yeah, this one we were a way off, I think. I think we dtd 4 days before, 2 days before, and 2 days after I O'd. One of them worked
