ok so sperm gets out before ejaculation? that sounds stupid but i have no idea about the "before" stuff IYKWIM (duh...sorry if TMI). ummm....implantation is 7 days after isn't it?

i have had a dip in temp today, a drop. and a spot of brown blood. could be implantation. i just looked on my chart. i did have ovulation pain and EWM at CD19 however my chart indicates i ovulated on CD14 as i also had EWM that day also. if i did ovulation on CD19, i am 13DPO. if i ovulated on CD14, i am 18DPO.

    thanks mis_tree, i downloaded this:

Pre-ejaculate does not usually contain sperm unless there has been an ejaculation, even a day-old ejaculation. Urinating removes some of the sperm but not all. Part of the job of pre-ejaculate is to "wash" out the penis to ensure a safe journey for the sperm when it DOES come. Pre-ejaculate has no sperm in it itself, only sperm that has been washed away on its way.

Hmmm....we hadn't DTD the day before, even 2 days before so now I am confused (hehehe!)

anyway, sorry to bore all of you girls with this! i guess i was just wondering whether people actually got a BFN at 18DPO and then a positive a couple of days later that is all. thanks everyone for listening!!

mis_tree, yes but did you DTD the day before so that sperm was still left IKYWIM? We hadn't which makes me wonder if it is all just in my head and I will get AF really soon!

I'm not sure about the whole temping thing, but I ovulated late with both my pregnancies as did my BF. Her due date by her scans is 2 weeks later than her date by LMP. So I think it just proves, that our bodies can do wonderful things, and you just never know what we are capable of. Good luck with it all, I hope you get the result your after.

yes maybe i didn't ovulate when my chart tells me i did, will just see how it pans out. would be quite strange if i was UTD but we were going to start trying in april anyway

It is possible that the heat stress has prolonged AF (was also looking at BOM site - Vic has new record!!) or there has been something there and it hasn't stuck, OR you could have a rise again tomorrow and get that elusive BFP. Honestly though hun, it looks a bit more like the heatwave may have affected your cycle by delaying ovulation. You only had that 1 really high temp and then it went to not much higher than the few days bfore it says you Oed. After 10 DPO looks a lot more like post O temps.

yeah weird isn't it? no i live in qld and we live somewhere with lovely sea breezes, has not been hot here at all actually. not stressed about anything. hmmmm....will see what my temp reads tomorrow morning! thanks so much for looking at my chart, i really appreciate it.
