Ms belly, I am so sorry that you have had to go through all this. I had a similar experience earlier this year - positive pg test, hcg going up but heavily heavily bleeding for 2 weeks. Doctors didn't really know what was happening as levels never started to go down and then I just started mc one morning. I completely understand what you mean about not being sure if you feel upset atm. I remember not being upset at all (very strange!) when it actually happened as the stress over the previous weeks had really taken their toll (prior to that day though I felt terrible). I believe now that I had already grieved and just wanted an answer.

Just wanted to send a hug and wish you all the best. My cycle went straight back to 'normal' after the mc and I was pregnant with my rainbow on the second cycle. I hope everything goes smoothly for you from here xo

And so the roller coaster continues. No bleed yet, and after my levels dropping they've now risen again... Here's my levels:

    Nov 9 - HCG 21, Progesterone 41
    Nov 11- HCG 48, Progesterone 40
    Nov 13 - HCG 30, Progesterone 16
    Nov 16 - HCG 177, Progesterone 53

Part of the reason we got the blood test so early was because this was our first month seeing a FS, who had been tracking me to see if I was ovulating, otherwise we'd probably not be watching so closely & so soon.

The crazy thing is, if I'd gone for my first blood test today, 2 weeks after my missed period, we'd probably think everything was fine & wouldn't have known about the dip!

So I will have to go in for a scan first thing Monday to see if it looks like ectopic or if by some small miracle there is sign of an embryo in the uterus (& then I'll be kicking myself for having a medium rare burger today..)

At this stage, as I'm sure you can all tell, I had assumed it was all over and we were starting to accept what had happened, but now this lingering.. Gosh what a test of patience, & sanity!

I have found a couple of other stories in forums of levels going up & down and not ending well, but isn't it amazing what one little tiny little glimmer of hope can do.

Hi everyone, firstly thank you for all your kind words & words of encouragement, even though we'll never meet its nice to know there's people cheering you on!

We had our scan & more blood tests this morning, and my tubes & ovaries are looking good at this stage (no visible masses) AND we think there is a sac! A definite black pea showed up on the screen (actually there was potentially 2, but not even going to think along those lines just yet) so it's given us a whole new level of hope. It's too early to see if there's a yolk, and we're very aware of all the other milestones we need to cross, but for now its the first time we've really let ourselves get carried away with the joy of being pregnant. My levels have also gone up, but are still low - HCG 212, Prog 76, but the Dr thinks we're just really early, so it's all positive for now.

I know the anxiety & paranoia won't subside for many more weeks (like me currently obsessing on a cramp I'm feeling this very minute), but seeing that black blob has made my day

We go back for a follow up scan & blood next Monday. Will let you know how it goes.

    xx

Thanks everyone. I had a shocking day of cramps yesterday & brown spotting, enough to wear a pad it's much lighter today & no cramps so I'm keeping positive & telling myself that it was all normal. I even did another FRER this evening just to make sure (crazy waste of money I know, it'd take days for the hormone to disappear) got a nice bright pink line. Will let you know how it pans out. Xx

MsBelly hope you are feeling a bit better. Did you call your clinic to let them know? They may let you come in a little earlier than next week for a repeat scan. Might give you a little bit piece of mind. Thinking of you xxx
