No I never stopped drinking my 1 real coffee every day - not when TTC and not when pregnant and not when breastfeeding and not ever

Seeing that I never stopped I can't say that anything made a difference but I didn't have any trouble TTC so I assume that the coffee wasn't an issue.

Looks like I'm different to everyone else!

I did stop drinking coffee while TTC #1 and #2. I also continued to stop (lol does that make sense?) for the first tri... then eased back into it.

DH read somewhere that any drugs, including caffeine and acohol, can do the most damage in the first tri, on top of possibly affecting conception, so we decided to stop together. He figured that was fair

My philosophy was that it probably wouldn't do anything if I did continue but that whatever I could try and do to help the process wasn't a bad thing.

Not that I'm saying anything negative at all about continuing... now that I'm into my third tri I'm back on coffee, 1 or 2 a day, and even a half glass of wine every now and then.

    To each their own!

I feel the same way... I've switched to decaf in the last couple of months because it's coming up to 12 months since we started TTC.

In saying that DH and myself only ever drink one cup of coffee a day each.

Every now and then I'll have a normal cup - if Im with someone who doesn't know I'm TTC it's too hard to explain why I'm on decaf!!

I think as long as you're not drinking to excess it's ok...

As OceanPrincess says, each to their own!

I drank coffee when TTC DS but stopped when I found out I was pregnant. But this time I haven't stopped. We've been trying for 9 months now so I'm thinking about switching to decaf. My naturopath keeps telling me to stop as she believes it would help to stop.

I substituted to hot chocolate about 8 months ago as I read something about coffee and fertility. Stopping coffee hasn't helped me.

My friend did IVF and drank coffee all the way through. Her FS said he didn't believe in coffee having an impact

Oooooh Noooooo, I just couldn't Drank it TTC, pregnant and post natal as well. Loved my morning coffee in hospital, I would send DH down to the cafe to get me a real coffee.
The only thing I did while pregnant in the early months was have a mocha instead of cappuccino as I didn't like the taste of caffeine, I still wanted it though.

I was totally addicted to caffeine when TTC DS. When I found out I was pg I stopped cold turkey and haven't taken it up again apart from the occasional drink. I don't like coffee so my beverage of choice was pepsimax. Probably worse with all those chemicals lol! I had a headache for a week after giving up but I thought I'd rather have a headache myself than have DS have one when he's born. I've tried to quit before so I knew what it would be like but didn't have that additional motivating factor to stay quit.

I think it more how long you have been TTC as once you hit over that dreaded 12mth mark your willing to do anything to get that baby...

I have stopped all caffine with 3 of mine... Ds was the only one I drank coffee like a fish... but that was before I realised it could affect my ovulation... its worked for me... well kinda, its still takes a Looooooong time to work, but I feel it helps me...

see how you go, if your still TTC in 6mths you might find the motavation to give up...

All the best in TTC your next baby...
