I was wondering what are the chances of falling pregnant after a miscarriage before AF returns. I read somewhere that an egg is released 2 weeks after a m/c but what about 6 weeks after what are the chances then?
It's possible. Ovulation depends partly on whether it was a natural m/c or a d&c. If it's a natural m/c, the cycle afterwards you count day 1 of bleeding as day 1 of cycle - so you'd O when you normally would (most women anyway). If it's a d&c, not as easy to predict. Your luteal phase would still be normal.
After our loss, I scoured fertility friend for charts of women who conceived without AF - there were heaps! Didn't happen for us, but there was only one cycle in between
If you think you might be utd - just poas! Otherwise, give it a couple of weeks. If you had a natural m/c at the start of August and you're usually pretty regular, I'd have expected AF by now, if it was a d&c, could take a little longer.
Oh wow! well isnt that awkward! Haha! we are just playing whatever happens happens as we were going to have another baby anyways. Well we only DTD yesterday so i will give it a couple of weeks and see how we go. If i do happen to fall pregnant then thats 3 in a row for DP!
I had this same question a few weeks ago. I miscarried naturally and ovulated 26 days later but it all depends on when the hcg leaves your system I think because you can't ovulate of course when your body still thinks it's pregnant. I ovulated about a week and a half after I got confirmation of no hcg. I usually have regular cycles of 30 - 34 days and I estimate (never used opks before now) that I o around cd 18 - 20.
So depending on your cycle and how long it took fir hcg to go down, yeah I reckon it's possible. POAS!
Got my fingers crossed for you hun. Let us know how you go!
