    Confirm HPT- SO CONFUSED!!

Has anyone had weird results using Confirm HPT?

Okay, so my DS is 9 months old and still has about 5 breastfeeds a day. I have not really got my period back (I had very light spotting twice when he was about 2 and 3 months old). We have been DTD lots, with no protection and just leaving it up to God as to whether this is our time or not to have Number 3. I have been doing a HPT every now and then, but all clear BFN's.

Anyway, I have just been feeling "different" over the last 5 days or so. Heavy and bloated, a bit constipated (tmi!), skin breaking out, and also feeling really mild period pain after DTD, and lots and lots of CM. Plus my stomach has been quite squirmy if I let myself go to long without food. My breasts feel pretty much the same, but then I have a 9month old hanging off them a LOT!

On friday I did a Crystal Clear HPT. It was late at night, my wee would have been really diluted. It kind of looked like "something" was there, but I just decided it was an evap line (It was more of a shadow) and dismissed it as a BFN.

Still feeling strange on the weekend, I used a Confirm last night. (I hadn't been to the loo for about 7 hours believe it or not because I had been busy out in the garden, and had only really had about a glass of pepsi during that whole time, so I am thinking it was actually like FMU). Anyway, I put it down and went and had dinner, and by the time I got back to it, 20 minutes had probably passed. There was a very, very, very faint line that had a "pinkish" tinge to it. I showed it to DH, and he could see it too. Obviously over night it has darkened up a little, and is quite solid and pink, although still faint.

As I had no tests left, I collected my FMU this morning (I went to the loo though at about 1.30am, and collected FMU at about 6.30, and had a drink through the night, so not so sure about how good it was) in a cup. Went down and and bought more Confirm and dipped it in for 30 seconds when I got home, and although there appears to be a "shadow", I would pass it off as a BFN.......

I am GUESSING that I would be around 12-13 dpo maybe less or more???

I haven't used Confirm. Maybe try waiting a day or two and trying again. Or try a different brand. I used Pregnosis & got a BFN at 21dpo so I would suggest not using that one (it might have just been a dodgy test though).

I'd leave it a couple of days and try again. It may be that you are just really early.

:yeahthat: - and maybe try First Response HPT - they seem to give pretty accurate results

I tested on the day of my missed period which would have been 10 DPO and i used a Pregnosis test (it was the cheapest at the chemist) and i got a very very faint line. I then used a First Response test the next day and got another faint line.

I agree wait another couple of days and test using First Response, Good luck!!!

Agree you should leave it for say 2 days as your levels are meant to double every couple of days. I used Lullaby Conceptions and Clear blue and they gave me the same results but only after my AF was overdue.

Thanks everyone! I wish I knew where I was in my cycle.....sigh.

I think I will just have to wait........I am not the most patient little petal!

I think I would just like to know asap because I am a bit worried about breastfeeding while pregnant. I have had 3 nasty doses of mastisis in the last 8 weeks, so I don't think I could handle that and being pregnant at the same time! I am assuming that DS would still be getting enough nourishment etc as well as the growing bubba?

I have another Confirm HPT BURNING a hole in my bathroom cupboard, but I will try and wait.......I think...... I was thinking I might just go and grab another brand to try in a couple of days, First response seems to be popular? Do you guys use the dip stick ones, or the in stream ones????

Thanks again. Back to watching Hannah Montanna with my 5.75 year old for the 100th time since she recieved it for Christmas.
