Coughing??

This may sound completely ridiculous but do u think excessive coughing could hinder your chance of conceiving?
I have been coughing non stop since we dtd the other night!! I have sore abs and ribs from it! Coughing that is not dtd lol

I don't think so Ez. I have a friend who has a LOT of trouble TTC and hanging onto her bubbas, she had a really bad cough when she conceived this time and is now 11 weeks pregnant.
I should be O'ing today or tomorrow and I also have a really bad cough at the moment, so it hope it doesn't affect it.

I had my IVF transfer when I had a cold a few weeks back and got a BFP (yet to be confirmed by BT). Another person also had a similar experience. One of my friends IRL had the flu when she fell. So, I think you've got just as much a chance as any other cycle. I do understand why you might think the chances are reduced, as I thought the same.

Congrats on your bfp Lisa. It's more the act of coughing that I'm worried about... It feels like I'm going to cough my insides out!!!

I try not to cough after dtd but I suppose that any swimmers that get "coughed out" after a few mins aren't ones that would have had much chance anyway
