First up would like to apologise if this has been asked a million times before.. I did do a search but couldnt come up with the awnser I am seeking.
I have been trying and my periods are anything but predictible. I looked up clomid as someone suggested it to me but after googling it.. found out some info but not how
readily is it available in oz? Do you need to see a specialist before getting a script or is this available from any doctor you see?
Ever since I have been here have be unable to find one doctor and tend to just use clinics if need be.
Or maybe I should wait until we have tried for a year??
If anyone can help me that would be wonderful! I have yet to find an australian link with info about clomid and I am not that comfortable with making an a** out of myself if this is something that is only available after intensine screening.
Not sure if you already have an answer to your question, as I only just came across your post now and thought I'd offer some help.
GP'S generally only send you to see a fertility specialist after you have been TTC for at least one year. I know that clomid is only available from a specialist, and only after they have exhausted all other options (eg. tracking your cycles, blood tests, etc).
My husband and I are currently seeing a fertility specialist, and we had the choice between clomid tablets or puregon injections (we chose the injections, as in our case they have a better success rate). We had been TTC for a year before we were referred to her. This is our second month on the drugs, and my period is due any day now. I'm desperately hoping it doesn't arrive!
I hope I've helped - please feel free to ask any questions if my answer wasn't clear enough. Good luck!
