    Do you feel it...

    ... when you ovulate?

I never have, that I have been aware of. I have two bubbas, both conceived with me tracking my cycle just counting days and lots of DTD round CD14 (bout CD10-20 TBH)... I have paid attention to CM and have definitely noticed EWCM on certain days, but I have never felt ovulation. Haven't used FF or any sort of OPKs before.

My previous cycle (first one since DS was born) was 32 days. Today is CD13. Just now, I went to the loo, TMI nice glob of EWCM. As I was walking back to my desk, I felt a little twinge, sort of like a stitch, up high on my LHS, sort of between my bottom rib and my the top of my hip bone. ITMS?

Would have just written it off as gas () or a stitch or similar except for what I'd just seen in the loo.

What do you think - does that sound like an O pain?? What does it feel like for you?

I get crampy around O so yep i can feel it. It feels like a stitch, different from AF pain.

That sums up my O pain to a tee. A definite 'stitch' feeling, not super painful, but always aware it was happening.

I never relied on that pain alone though, always tracked my temps and CM as well.

Rarely. I did with DS2. It was crampy all afternoon.

I have a note about a stitch on the RHS on both on my conception charts for DS1 & DS2. Just like you described.

Fascinating!!! (And I mean that seriously)

I've never noticed it before, if I have ever had it. I wonder why it would have felt so pronounced today? Or maybe because I'd just been to the loo I was in the right headspace to notice it?

It was only a flash of pain, all gone now, feels normal again. Doesn't seem to be on going...

Interesting. I've got some OPKs at home, maybe I'll use one when I get home.

I've had months like that... I've got to get up of my chair and been forced to sit back down and almost breathe through the pain! Other months, a tiny stitch like feeling... Strange hey?

Yep feels like a stitch for me too. I never noticed it until I was "watching out" for it. I get plenty of odd pains here and there so I imagine that I just wrote it off as something else before.

I think I used to feel it when I was much younger, although it has only been later that I've learnt about the whole deal and realised that is what I used to feel. I wouldn't feel pain as such, it is really hard to describe but it was like something was moving or being sucked upwards, in about the spot where I assume my ovaries are.

My O pain definately feels like a stitch, but it's lower down than what you've described - just above my hip, and about half way from my hip bone and the centre of my body ITMS?

Pity I'm at work. Maybe I can go home - I feel a cough coming on. *Cough cough*

No wait, no point in that, the kids are at home.

    Ah well! There's always tonight

I need to google female anatomy. Maybe not at work though

I've generally always had really strong ovulation pain. When I was in high school I actually started on the contraceptive pill because the ovulation pain was so bad each month that I would be double over at school.

When I fell pregnant with DS it was definitely an egg from the left hand side.

Since having babies though the ovulation pain seems to be much much less. We don't know what side DD came from because she was IVF, but I'm now pregnant with a VERY surprise baby and never knew I had ovulated. It's been at least 16 months since my last AF and looks like there won't be one for quite some time to come, lol.

OMG, when i was taking clomid, my ovulation pain was SO bad. I could barely walk for a good 2 hours on the first cycle! And I didn't even get a baby as a consolation!

    Sounds like O to me!

I'm like the PP, usually get hardcore pain the days leading up to and on O day. First time I ovulated after 15 years on the pill it was so bad I ended up in the ER.

It's like a vice on my right-hand side and usually brings a friend, lower back ache. I reckon I almost feel the egg 'pop' on O day, as I get an intense stitch and then it just goes.

It's pretty cool to feel that O is actually happening I reckon, even if it's a bit hurty.
