I gave birth to Noah 9 weeks ago. I had the lochia for 5 weeks, then at 7 weeks I had a bleed for 2 days, very little and today I was surprised with stringy cm. I am exclusively breastfeeding and never had more than 3 hours between feeds until yesterday so if I am ovulating it is nice to know that if I don't want to get preg I need to have a reliable form of contraception.
I am wanting to conceive in the next couple of months but scared to try still Not only that, I had a caeser with Noah and worried what the effects of a pregnancy will be on my body conceiving so soon, assuming I will conceive again. Anyhoo, I am babbling now, any help would be appreciated, this is something I really don't know much about...
If there is no chance that the stringy cm can be anything else then you may be coming up to O! {BTW I find that semen is stringier than ewcm, is less shiny, doesn't stretch as far or as often.}
Exclusive breastfeeding is not necessarily 100% effective - some women are less sensitive to the breastfeeding hormones and can ovulate, although this is a little less ususual in the first six months, but it can still happen! Yep, I know a few surprise babies!! Maybe use another form of protection if you think you are O'ing.
I was advised to wait a year after a caesar before TTC but I am a little older than you It is always best to concieve when you are ready and at your optimum health!
