Sorry to bother you with yet another ewcm question. For the last 3 days now I've had what I think may be ewcm but I'm not sure. The general consistency of the cm is thin/watery (there's not a whole lot of it though) and then once or twice a day I'll have a jelly-like glob or jelly-like stringy bits (sorry if TMI). The glob is stretchy as are the stringy bits. Its mostly clear with perhaps some white streaks. I only ever notice this stuff when I do an internal check. Do I chart this as ewcm or sticky cm?
I am realllly sorry i can't answer your question, but I do want to thank you for asking it as I have had similar so I'm curious to see what people say.
Record it as egg white cm. Stretchy clear jelly is ewcm. Fertility Friend says to record the most fertile cm you have and treat this time as fertile! Hope this helps.
Thanks heaps Kerry. I've read so many descriptions of what ewcm is and none seemed to fit my "jelly/stringy" description. I hope this means I'm going to O soon
If it is stretchy it is more likely to be ewcm not sticky cm.
Could the stringy bits be anything other than ewcm IYKWIM?
I find that semen is stringier than ewcm, it is stretchy but not as stretchy as ewcm and breaks more easily.
The thin wet stuff can be semi fertile mucus or lubrication.
Sounds like you are probably coming up to O! I can get the globby bits a couple of days before I get the copious amounts of stretchy clear ewcm a day before O.

Yep. This cycle is driving me crazy. Its so hard not to stress out but now that I have the FS appointment booked I'm trying not to think about it. I've unfortunately had a couple of patches of fertile cm throughout the cycle so its been very tiring (IYKWIM). So far this cycle we've BD'd 27 times! Cos I have no idea when I'll O we've been BD every 2nd day and if I've had fertile cm thrown in an extra time for good measure! I just don't want to miss the eggy if she decides to pop out.

I am counting down to O ATM, still a week to go if the acupuncture is going to work. DH is counting too because he really wants it and I haven't given it to him for a while IYKWIM!! Trying to keep him keen and not thinking about the TTC! (Though I caught him asking DS last night if he wanted a sister. Needless to say as DS can't talk, there wasn't much of a response!)
I had that stuff you're describing for the last 3 days. I have just come off the pill and haven't had that yet so I treated it as ewcm. And I'm pretty sure it was coz it lasted 3 days, had a bit of o pain, then was gone after 3 days so sounds like o to me. And it was exactly what you described which confused me too. Hope it was O for both of us and we caught the eggy!!!!
ticklish - We've been enjoying the BD but its certainly been a hectic schedule. I just want to O so we can have a break! I've only counted cos I've been charting BD on fertility friend. I've got the stretchy "jelly" again today (that's 5 days I've noticed it for now) so I hope the OPK comes up +ve tomorrow. I hope you O next week. It would be great if the acupuncture kept your cycles regular permanently!
SaraJane - I agree the descriptions of ewcm can be confusing. Glad to hear that what I've observed does seem to be ewcm. Sounds like you may have O'd (yay!). Are you temping or doing OPK's? I'm doing both. OPK hasn't been +ve yet but I'm hoping for tomorrow. Wishing you a !
No I haven't been temping or anything else. It's our first month trying so I think if it hasn't happened by 3 months I'll get more serious about it!!! I am already too obsessive though so maybe I shouldn't, hahaha.
SaraJane - Its hard not to obsess isn't it! I am certainly obsessed to a certain extent - especially since it seems my body isn't doing what its supposed to. I don't think temping is obsessive. It just gives you info about what your body's up to and if its doing the right thing. For me, the more info the better. You're young and still in your peak ferility years so I'm sure you'll be pg before you know it!
Ticklish - Nope. No O. I'm so depressed. It seems the ewcm has disappeared today too. I've been off BCP now since beginning of Jan. I've only had 2 O's in all that time. Both times the OPKs worked a treat. My surge showed up over 2 consecutive days both times. Over the weekend I tested a couple of times a day so I'm sure I didn't miss anything. There's been no temp rise either. Its just so depressing - today is CD59. I was quite excited that this cycle I may have been able to anticipate O with the cm observations but that just doesn't seem to have worked. Oh well - just something else about my body that's not normal I guess. I can't wait for my FS appointment on the 30th.
Dam, dam, dam, again, how frustrating - just think that the OPK might not have worked this time and you could have still O'd!!!!! Agree, twice a day should catch it but it could have been earlier. I read somewhere, can't remember where so don't quote me, that for most women ewcm appears 1 to 2 days before O but can still be around after O, so maybe you O'd earlier than you think and the OPK didn't catch it. EWCM also disappears after O! I am a bit dry after O - sorry TMI again! Has this happened? I find that I O around 1 to 2 days after EWCM first appears because this is when I get the most symptoms and AF has so far, this year anyway, arrived 14 days after that!!!
Temp rises can be sluggish too! Reason why I chucked the thermometer - driving me batty. When DS was concieved, even though I had had the EWCM, I never had the temp rise after O and there was no way I thought I was pregnant!!! So I got really depressed about it. We had lost a baby and I was desperate to concieve again and I had I had only O'd three times in the past year!!!!!!!
Yep, DH looking forward to the good stuff appearing - well, it has been almost a month and well, he has a new TV - so it looks like it might be some late night TV watching this weekend IYKWIM all going to plan!
