EWCM or not???

Hi Girls, thanks for reading this post.

Quick background, haven?t had AF for 7 months now, and recently started TCM. 2 days ago I had a pap smear, and since then have had some spotting, which from my understanding is quite normal. But I have also had heaps of EWCM which I haven?t seen in a very long time!

So my question is, do u think it is Ovulation CM, or just a result of the smear and not indicative of ovulation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm, I'm not too sure about it. It would really depend upon where you are in your cycle.

I know that following pap smears, I often get that, spotting and some discharge.

I guess you could maybe ring your doctors office and maybe speak to the nurse there?

I don't think a pap smear would cause it so I reckon it's probably ewcm!!

I would think it was EWCM - if it is stretchy that it what is it. Sounds like the TCM is working.

I remember I went to the Osteo for help with my cycle because I hadn't had one in a while and oh boy - did I get a lot of EWCM after that and then AF visited two weeks later. Having lots might have something to do with not having had AF visit for a while.

Fingers crossed that it is 'real' EWCM. DH won't know what's hit him tonight

I really hope that the TCM is working, would really love a visit from 'ole AF, although, would love even more for a bub to snuggle in!

forgive my ignoreance can i ask what TCM is???

Id say that ur EWCM is indicating O time - I dont think i have ever had that after a pap smear - bes of luck!!

Hi Jezabel, TCM stands for Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have been having acupuncture and taking herbs to help with my polycystic ovaries. And there's no such thing as an ignorant question on BB

And just a quick update, had quite a big temp drop on saturday followed by a big rise today. my chart will match up with my symptoms in the next couple of days.

ahhh I see...I should know that!! I have been on those herbs many times in my life for various health issues - sometimes months and months at a time, man they taste terrible but hey they work!
