ciara.e did he read another result from months/years ago perhaps? If your urine test is a BFP then your blood test should show it. I'd be inclined to think he has mixed it up or they have mixed your blood up (although thats near impossible) perhaps they haven't come back yet and he has told you a different times BHCG. Anyhow I am so sorry you are going through this. 4weeks is ridiculous especially going on your history if your urine test is positive. Can you see another Dr?

    Hey Emmy & everyone else!

Yeah i'm hoping he read the wrong blood test results. not too sure though. I still feel so pregnant and even today i'm so bloated!! Still pretty up there with morning sickness too. Strange hey?

So i know the doc said to wait 4 weeks, but of all the research i have done, I'm lead to believe that with a chemical pregnancy you should expect to bleed (period, i guess) within days of your expected period date. Well I'm WAAAAY past that. In fact, it's been a week since my bloods were taken and I was already late then. So this is what i did.. silly me, cos it's made me even more confused and anxious..
I left it for this week and just tonight i bought a different hpt, crystal clear. I haven't used that brand.. I have used every other brand available!! haha, but not this one. so my pee was very diluted with this hot weather etc.. and guess what it said?? BFP!

So now i'm back to the land of confusion and i decided that i'm not going to take any notice of what that last doc told me. He made me feel like an idiot anyway.. which i'm certainly not! So I'm going to take myself to a different doc within the next week or so.. when i get my next free day (cos i'm fully booked up with work and moving house).

So either i'm pregnant, or this miscarriage is taking a hell of a long time to complete. Has anyone else taken this long to get their period with a chemical pregnancy??? I mean, it's something like 10 or 11 days late (my ttc diary is packed in a box so i can't tell u the exact day)

I have taken up to 6 weeks when I had my 3 early losses... They varied in time but generally I was between 5 & 6 weeks.

As I have said before you really do need to get some more bloods done - it's important for you to know.

See a different doctor and get a referral for an u/s darl, you should be able to see the sac and a faint heartbeat by now, so that should clear some things up.

It took me a week to start bleeding after losing my second angel at 5 1/2 weeks, and two weeks to start bleeding after losing the third angel at 8 weeks.

With the second angel, I had pos preg tests (about 8 of them) and a neg blood test the day before the u/s. The u/s showed a sac, but no heart beat. With the third angel, 10 pos preg tests and 2 pos blood tests, each one with lower levels than the last, and the 1st ultrasound showed a very slow heartbeat.

Is it also possible that you miscalculated the date of conception? With DS, I had 3 pos preg tests and a blood test with a hcg level of 5 when af was 3 days overdue, and I didn't get the implantation bleed until the day after the first pos preg test (also when af was three days overdue), so don't start worrying yet darl, could just be nothing, or your kidney's are just working extremely well and getting rid of all the hcg from your system really really really quickly

Sending sticky vibes your way and my fingers are crossed for you!

    hey guys.

thanks so much for sharing your stories. It means a lot to me.

Well I'm hoping I did get the dates wrong?? Dunno... I'm defintaley still feeling waay pregnant!

So i took all your advice and finally went and sought second opinion. The new doc has sent me for an u/s which is booked for next monday. He's not worried at all... I'm kinda looking 3months pregnant already lol, and it's noticeable on my small frame!

I'm not getting excited, but i'm trying not to get too down either at the moment.. just a week to go and i'll know one way or the other.

    anywho...just letting you all know!

    Hope everyone is doing fantastic!!
