I was hoping someone could shed some light on this confusing situation for me!? Sorry it may be a little TMI..
I've been wanting a baby for a while so my partner and i are using the pull out method and he has never ejaculated in me if i get pregnant, i get pregnant! if i don't, i dont prety much. However the pill has been taken not so much at the same time/may of skipped a day or 2 just to reduce acne.
My last period was on the 14/11/12 finished on the 20/11/12. **I did start taking the pill on the first day of period, haven't been taking the pill before only to cure acne**
Five days after finishing my period on the 25/11/12 when i wiped after going to the toilet i had a little bit of blood on the toilet paper. I understand that at that time i would be ovulating except the next day (26/11/12) there was approx teaspoon of brown blood (old blood) then the next day 27/12/12 and until the 1/12/12. i bled pretty much like another period a week after i finished my period..?!?!? all of those days accompanied by cramping as well. So i stopped taking the pill thinking that was the culprit! Starting from the 9/12/12 i had been VERY tired, dizzy, nauseous, moody, boobs are sore, heaps of runny/lotiony discharge and the worst headaches ever! The headaches have lessened, as well as the nausea and my nipples are the only things sore not the whole breast anymore. I am still very tired, dizzy and the discharge is still there. I did a home pregnancy test 13/12/12 and it came back negative. I did another one the next day on the 14/12/12 (due date for AF) and it was negative. I am still waiting to get my period! so today (17/12/12) 3 days past due date for AF i did another pregnancy test and it came back negative. I don't usually have regular periods but they're roughly around the same date; 25 june, 22 July, 18 august, 19 September, 18 October. But then started on the 14 November..
I went to the doctors on the 11/12/12 and explained the bleeding but she suggested i just try the pill again..I didn't explain my symptoms to her though..so yeah? I haven't been taking the pill. Very confused and very upset that it was negative!! but if anyone has any info for me that would be great!! What do you guys think is going on? have you experienced this??

Hi Cassie, honestly, I think your body and hormones are very very confused!!!!!
Either take the pill responsibly at the same time each day, or not at all.
Just because they are tiny little pills, does not mean they do little things to your body.....
Of course your body is going to bleed when you stop taking the pill, or take it at the wrong time because of the drop of levels of hormones in your body. That's what the sugar pills are for.
I wish you all the best in your journey to have a baby if that's what you really want to do, but you need to make a decision to either stop or start taking your contraception responsibly.
The pill that you were taking for acne is still a contraceptive pill, even if it was prescribed for a different purpose and would have been acting as a form of birth control (if you we're taking it all the time)
What you are describing sounds exactly what would happen if you stop taking the pill hall way through a cycle, it is called a withdrawal bleed, because it happens when hormones are withdrawn.
I get that you want to be pregnant but I'm almost positive that you aren't. This could just be the way your body is responding to try and get its own natural cycle back after taking the pill.
Also, I think that you probably need to have a more in depth chat with your partner about the realities of trying for a baby, it isn't the sort of decision that should be taken lightly.
I agree with the other ladies, if you keep skipping pills (hormones!) your body is going to get very confused.
Also, the hormones in the pill SUPPRESS ovulation, so when taken daily, its very, very rare that you will ovulate. But because you've been stressing your body out with random hormones inconsistently, who knows what's going on?
I wouldn't classify you as late sorry. Your last period started on the 27th in my book, so you aren't due for another week or 2. Also a lot of women complain of those symptoms after coming off the pill, related to your body producing hormones. After I came off pill, I had headaches at certain times of my cycle, even before I was pg. Lots of women complain of sore BB in the tww, among other things. Just thought id chuck in my 2 cents.
Also, you're not 'late' - if the pill is taken regularly as directed by your GP, you would expect to get the withdrawal bleed (technically not a period, because as I mentioned above the pill suppresses ovulation). Or you would continue with the pill, skipping the sugar pill, if you wanted to miss a 'period' for an event like a wedding. So, because your randomly taking the pill, you'll get bleeds when you're off it, and no bleeds when you're on it. You aren't having a true cycle. One should expect a true period approximately 10-14 days after ovulation, which you may or may not have due to the up and down hormones.
If you want to have a baby, the pull out method and random contraceptive pill taking probably won't help.
The pills does all sorts of strange things to ur body, years ago I went through 3 types/brands before I found one that didn't make me sick
But my thoughts would be that AF will not arrive until 28 days roughly after the last bleed as the drop in hormones would of restarted your cycle causing another period to occur so AF may be likely to show around 1st jan going by your dates?
The only way you can rule out pregnancy is a bloodtest just request one from your gp, good luck
