Also, you're not 'late' - if the pill is taken regularly as directed by your GP, you would expect to get the withdrawal bleed (technically not a period, because as I mentioned above the pill suppresses ovulation). Or you would continue with the pill, skipping the sugar pill, if you wanted to miss a 'period' for an event like a wedding. So, because your randomly taking the pill, you'll get bleeds when you're off it, and no bleeds when you're on it. You aren't having a true cycle. One should expect a true period approximately 10-14 days after ovulation, which you may or may not have due to the up and down hormones.

If you want to have a baby, the pull out method and random contraceptive pill taking probably won't help.
