    Fertility Chart all wrong

    Hi guys
So im still learning about charting and i was searching and it looks like my chart is all wrong

arent i suppose to have a dip in temp when i ovulate?

I overrode the chart because i used a fertility monitor to check ovulation.

What do you make of my chart?

    2c22e4 Ovulation Charts

    thanks!

Based on the temps, I'd say it's too early to tell if you've ovulated. It normally confirms 3-4 days after the fact. Your temps CD 15-17 have open marks, which suggest sleep deprivation or inconsistent waking times. I get them all the time too. Inconsistent sleep patterns can mess with temps.

IMO, it looks most likely that O occurred CD 18. It's common to have a temp dip on O day, though it doesn't always happen. The next 3 temps should make this clearer. The +ve OPK on CD16 and -ve on CD 17 shows ovulation most likely occurred CD17-18, as it usually occurs 8-48 hours after the LH surge. However, it's often difficult to get the exact timing of the LH surge (for example, this cycle I got my 1st +OPK on CD 14 and my last on CD22). The peak and high signs on the monitor also suggest O on CD17 or 18.

Either way, it looks like you have all bases covered BD wise. Keep temping for the next 4-6 days to be sure of O if you want.

GL and hope you caught the egg!

You really don't have enough info in there to tell properly. But looking at your temps, I would say you either O'd around the CD13 or you have yet to O. Then again, although temps can give you an indication, not everyone always follows the same pattern.

What kind of O moniter do you have?

[QUOTE=tashybabe;2582811] However, it's often difficult to get the exact timing of the LH surge (for example, this cycle I got my 1st +OPK on CD 14 and my last on CD22).

Tashybabe, does this mean you had a +OPK for 9 days? I only used OPK's one time before i started clomid and for 7 days it was positive and i ran out of tests. I was convinced i had PCOS because of my irregular cycles and then i read that it causes a high level of LH. Im confused!

And how do I quote a line from someone's post, not the whole thing? Obviously i did it wrong!

Mum2onesweetbun - Having another look at your chart now: it looks like O was likely to be CD18 (where the temp dips a bit).

Tasha - you always have LH present in your urine, the strips are just supposed to indicated when it gets stronger and thus surges. Make sure you aren't using you frist morning urine (ie, test around midday) and it is only pos if the test line is darker or the same then the control line. If you still do get lots of pos LH tests - I take the MOST pos as the true indication.

remove the "" around the parenthisis lol

Tasha - I don't usually test everyday once I get a +ve. It's just a waste, but my temps stayed low with fertile CM for a week, so I tested again. Very irritating. My hormones are all over the shop atm whilst I'm clearing heavy metal from my system, so I put it down to that. Or it could be my age or from recent birth. I don't know. Sorry to hijack

Mum21SB - still looks like O was CD18 - it should become clear in a couple of days. I recommend doing the charting course on FF if you're new to it. I see you've done a preg test - it's WAY too early for that. Don't waste your tests.

Misty- All my OPK tests were dark line positive. I had very irregular cycles so I knew it was too good to be true that the one time i try OPK's I was ovulating. So i kept testing just to see and they were all very dark line positive.

M2OSB- Thanks, next time i will remember that about quotes! I tried to delete the rest, but it didn't work

Tashybabe- My hormones are all crazy as well. I just wondered because I'm thinking about using OPK's again, just to see if they work this time.

Tasha - I would suggest buying some cheap OPK's off ebay and testing everyday of your cycle for one cycle just to see what happens. (you can get about 30-40 OPK's for $10-15) Mark and date each test and keep them, you should be able to visibly see a pattern emerge as your cycle progresses. If you are still all over the place I would definitely go and talk to your GP.

Misty thats a very good idea.

If we keep it will the line change though? ie get darker with time? or will it stay the same so we can see the pattern properly?
