We were completely sober, it was the middle of the afternoon on our day off together. It was really good (sorry if TMI) and because we usually do the withdrawl method this particular day i was about to O and if he had of pulled out it would have killed it so he said stuff it. We were both so relaxed and just had fun that we didnt even think about it.. 10 days later i got my BFP.

With me, I "went" first before DH, then we both "went" at the same time after that..
We also only DTD on the day of O on Fertility Friend (for around 5 days prior that is).
I also put my legs AND bum against the wall for about 10 minutes afterwards so all the good stuff didnt seep out
We also weren't "trying" as such, more just, we'll see what happens, and not take any precautions. so we were both really relaxed and not stressed about TTC.
DH also had stopped drinking diet drinks for awhile beforehand for maybe a few days to a week? not sure exactly how long, but no more than a week i think.

oh and we also DTD around midnight lol!

With DS we pulled out all the stops! I was temping and charting my cycle, some months we used preseed, I was seeing a fertility acupuncturist, butt in the air after DTD, DTD at least once a day throughout my entire fertile period, both of us taking pre-conception vitamins... Probably the only thing we didn't do was drink alcohol, lol. Even still it took us 9 months and a precious angel before we conceived our gorgeous little man.

Things with our little Apple Blossom have been a bit different because she's an IVF with PGD baby. Although it only took us 2 cycles (3 months) to fall pregnant with her, we had a total of 16 chromosomally abnormal embryos that sadly were never destined to survive, before we created our single precious healthy baby girl embryo.

Oh, and I wanted to mention that I'm glad that we didn't tell people that we were TTC'ing either time because I just know that I would have snapped if someone told me to "just relax" LOL!

OK, so I didn't get pg twice the 'old fashioned way', I've had two cycles of IVF both resulting in BFP. My secret?? I relaxed as much as I could, but in all honesty I didn't expect too much from the treatment as I always assumed it would take us a few goes. So, relaxed I was, with no expectations, and both times the little embie decided to stick.

PS If I could get pg naturally, I would have picked Tequila and wild sex!!!! lol

GL hun, hope your TTC journey is a very short one!!!

Well I'm another one who was drunk! lol The first time anyway. We didn't think we could fall naturally after DH's 2 years of chemo (it finished just 3 months before we fell) so went unprotected and bam UTD!!!

This time we had tried for a month or two, I know my cycle fairly well and thought we had missed it this time tho and had a pretty full on afternoon session, the only time we DTD in the month and again bam. So I think being relaxed about it and not thinking helps as does having a few drinks!!!!

hmm well we fell pregnant from dtd a lot lol. we had nothing else to do living in a caravan and it was so hot you didnt want to go outside.

Just relaxing and lots of laughter, bugging each other, just enjoying time with each other and not worrying about using condoms.

I got pregnant the first time but lost that baby but the 2nd time we planned it took about 1-2 months to get pregnant, had to take asprin for a bit as i had, had a miscarriage before.

The 2nd pregnancy i was breastfeeding and went off the pill and got pregnant.

Hubby says all he has to do is blow his load in my direction and i get pregnant, a joke between us lol.

Thought it was about time I added what I did.

I had been trying for almost 11 months when we got our sticky BFP, with 2 MC's in that time. I have been temping since November.

The last time I had EWCM was on Boxing Day last year, and resulted in the MC in January. I was taking a general multi-vitamin that didn't have Vitamin A in it, and was trying to eat healthy and exercise more, I had lost 6kg in 6 months. Hubby was cutting down on Alcohol and had lost 30kg in 6 months.

The MC messed up my next cycle by reducing my LP by 2 days, and in March we got another BFP, which sadly was not sticky either.

I started B vitamins after the March MC as I had been told that they could help, but I only ended up with a very long cycle (39 days instead of my usual 28-31 days).

We had no luck for months, I stopped taking the multivitamins and just tried to relax, I was ready to give up and thought it would never happen. I even got quite depressed for a while there where I fantasized about harming myself.

Hubby helped me out of it, and I just took it one day at a time, and I started taking some Folic Acid tablets just prior to my last AF, and this cycle I didn't know when I O'd, I thought it was at the start of the cycle, but FF showed no sign of it having happened. Then on CD21 I got a bHCG test and progesterone test done, bHCG came back negative, Progesterone was below 15, so no sign of O, but according to FF I O'd on CD21, which just happened to be a couple of days before Hubby's birthday.
I drank on hubbies birthday, July 7th, and for a week after that, then on my Birthday (13dpo, July 18th) I started getting a little bit hopeful as I was very emotional and hormonal, and begged hubby to get me a test. He refused, but gave in on the evening of the next day (14dpo) and we got our BFP! It was very faint, and the next day I had a bHCG test done, which came up with levels of 29, so very low, meaning implantation had only occurred withing the 7 days prior.

We DTD only 3 times that month, once at the start of the cycle on CD 7, again on CD 11, and then again on CD 18.
I thought we would have no chance this month, and I have lost 6 angels now, and my DS is the only other one who has made it past 8wks, but we did catch the eggie this month and now I'm 8wk 4d.

Sorry for the long story, I'm sure you didn't all want to read it, but I thought I would share it so that those who are going through this and have been through similar things can know that there is hope.

edit: I also forgot to add that our sticky BFP was the second month that we had started spooning to DTD, apparently it helps get the sperm very close to the cervix.

Hubby and I did a 2 week detox with bentonite clay and psyllium (google perfect 7 capsules) to reduce our levels of heavy metals, pesticides etc, at least a month before conception. We were also both taking the In-Liven probiotic & superfood supplement by MiEssence. We also tried as best as we could to avoid alcohol, coffee and any other drugs/medications that may adversely affect the health of sperm & egg.
