Fess Up Ladies, What is your secret?

This is to all the Ladies out there that have experienced the joy of seeing a

I have no advice as we only DTD once and we fell pregnant, id say maybe instead of trying maybe just be careless. Decide around the time you are ovulating just dont use anything and see what happens. If you are worried about it and thinking about it, it just wont happen.

I got to know my cycle really well, knew when ovualtion was going to occur and told Df what days we would be DTD (yeah really romantic, lol).
Ovulator predictor kits can also be good if you have an irregular cycle or just want some extra help to know the right time.

DH "going" first and then me... theory being dipping the cervix into the pool of sperm and sucking them up to where they need to be LOL. It seemed to work the first two times.. but doesn't seem to be working trying for #3! (yet!)

That's exactly what I did too! I often O-ed hours later (manually - ) which I think really helped! Sorry if TMI!

I also dropped 18 kgs in the 12 months prior to conception - which certainly helped me. When I got pregnant I was at about 92 kgs (quite good for me!) and feeling very healthy and active.

We stopped trying so hard, the more we thought about it the more frustrated I got & nothing happened.

Each time we "gave up"as such we got a BFP! seems relaxed is a good way to go..for us anyway.

This is what actually annoys me about others freely commenting on your due date, I'm due 01/01/2010 & keep getting the "oh, what bad timimg" ahhhh yeah, we tried & tried for x amount of time, got more & more upset as it didn't happen. Then were over the moon when we relaxed & let it happen....but yeah could have timed it better grrrrr.

We had been trying for 6 months and using a maybe baby but when we gave up, booked a hotel in the city, got drunk as on jagerbombs and danced all night (obviously not just in the club haha) it seemed to do the trick lol. I used to get cranky when ppl used to tell me to just relax though lol

Love it Ladies, keep it coming! Your advice is making my positivity increase... few hours ago all I could think about was how the universe was against me having a baby.

Erin, back in high school I was in the youngest bracket and Mum wouldn't let me do something cause I was x age and the other girls were older... I would always say, why couldn't you have me in August??? Only now do I realise it doesn't happen like that.

Nattyfred, sounds like a great night. I haven't had a drink for 6 months, frozen margarita ****tails are looking good this weekend

I didn't know my cycle, so we just DTD every 2 days til we got the BFP, lol. We were both taking preconception tablets and were trying to eat healthy. Iron and Zinc is good for guys, so DH unhappily ate lots of green vegetables, and happily ate lots of bacon. My mother sent me an article about avocado being good for preconception, so I ate salads with avocado too. I remember reading somewhere that soy was bad, so neither of us had any soy. We still drank, couple of glasses of wine each week and DH a few beers on the weekend, as we decided it was better that we were happy and relaxed. We got the BFP second cycle after coming off the pill, and first cycle of actually trying.

ok, can come back in here now with our 'BFP' story...

basically as i mentioned DH started taking Menevit...big difference he reckons in terms of (and sorry for TMI) but the quantity and consistency...who knows?!

also, he went away for 3 days and i don't know, maybe the heart strings grew fonder or my ovaries got a fright that they were being ignored as i Od the day after he got back and the night after we DTD...nothing like a romantic 'interlude' lol

we also did the old wives tale of lifting the legs for a bit...not for long as i am lazy lol.

DH refers to this baby as the 'menevit baby'

    This is a great thread!

Gosh... with DS1 there was NO way it was planned i was on Depo Provera Injections so me and XDP were obviously not using protection! i didnt find out i was UTD untill we went camping with XDPs family and my symtoms started kicking in, because i was on depo i thought there was NO way i was pregnant. 3 days after getting back to reality the symptoms were still there so brought a HPT and got a BFP! went to the dr to confirm and i was already 10weeks!

#2. It was mine and XDP's anniversary MIL and FIL had DS so we stayed home that night had dinner, drank and DTD. XDP was to drunk and "forgot" we werent using protection and well we had an accident! about 5 weeks later found out i was UTD.
