DH "going" first and then me... theory being dipping the cervix into the pool of sperm and sucking them up to where they need to be LOL. It seemed to work the first two times.. but doesn't seem to be working trying for #3! (yet!)

That's exactly what I did too! I often O-ed hours later (manually -) which I think really helped! Sorry if TMI!
I also dropped 18 kgs in the 12 months prior to conception - which certainly helped me. When I got pregnant I was at about 92 kgs (quite good for me!) and feeling very healthy and active.
So the consensus seems to be relax, have a couple of drinks and then O. No wonder one night stands can result in pregnancy, lol.
hmmm relaxing and alcohol seem to make a few mentions lol
I got preggers on a road trip holiday where we just kicked back, drank heaps and generally just had a good time![]()
we we fell pg with DD it was also....
because we were reallllllly drunk and i happened to O that night!!
we had been trying for almost 2 years for DD...so it was a suprise!
ATM we have just started using Menevit, i am taking elevit and some extra iron (as i am anaemic still). and also we just BD everyday in my fertile period. can't say it's working though...hopefully soon lol!
hmmmm maybe i should just buy some tequila and an OPK?!
for us? when i got rather... amehm itchy poor DH didnt want to look at me hehe im sure it was the shock of going from next to nothing to 'back away slowly do not make eye contact and RUN!" hehe i think though while you can temp, work out your body to a tee, sometimes just relaxing and letting go of and expectation can help- for us it was a "what'll be will be" from aug-jan then "try with every thing" from april onward. early Oct - we got a BFP and it was fun making it too - even if i was a weee bit tipsy![]()
We were completely sober, it was the middle of the afternoon on our day off together. It was really good (sorry if TMI) and because we usually do the withdrawl method this particular day i was about to O and if he had of pulled out it would have killed it so he said stuff it. We were both so relaxed and just had fun that we didnt even think about it.. 10 days later i got my BFP.
ROFL at that.
I went to the dentist. She said, you should get your wisdom teeth ripped out. So I booked in for that. We didn't stop trying and it was at the back of my mind but it wasn't as urgent that month. We also relaxed, had a few drinks to celebrate our anniversary and DTD as we had been doing probably every 2nd day. I was pretty sure I had o'd the day before but didn't really think much of it after 8 months of BFN's. I did a test just before having my teeth ripped out (the day AF was due based on when I thought I'd O'd) and got a false negative. Two weeks later I started feeling sick, my AF still hadn't arrived. So I did another test (a faulty one) then another and finally gst a BFP. Turns out poor bub got a dose of general anaesthetic (he's fine!). I'm thinking DH should get his teeth ripped out when we start trying for #2 in Feb.
I also used POAS ovulation tests to get to know my cycle well but it wasn't working - almost a year. It was good to know I had a regular cycle and to pinpoint exactly when I was ovulating as it was at a different time than expected.
The thing that worked for me in the end was a round of treatments from a Chinese Doctor. A few sessions of acupuncture and a committment to taking herbs daily left me feeling physically awesome and falling pg first cycle!
The only other idea i can suggest is to DTD outside of the timeframe you think you are meant to be ovulating. A few of my conceptions were waaaaay outside the supposed 'fertile window'... one was on day 22 of my cycle! also try doing it earlier... remember that sperm can live for up to a week.
I agree. Several people I know were obsessed with when they were ovulating... They would go crazy then, and not any other time of the month. I take the idea of one of the other writers and listen to your body... If you feel like it - go for it!
