HCG Levels - Confused

Hey guys, yet again i need some help decifering tests!

I have just received my BHCG levels ? but I am not going back to see the dr until the 14th of jan, so need some help to answer a question!

Ok so I had the BHCG test yesterday. Day 21 of my cycle. I got the results which were .5HCG. Which doesn?t shock me because I O late in my cycle so even if I am UTD I would be very surprised if it came back positive. So I know that they don?t say your pregnant unless your levels are 5 or higher. But I am confused. I would assume that if you weren?t pregnant your body wouldn?t produce any HCG at all? So what does it mean if your levels are between .5 ? 5??

apparently you can create small amounts of hcg (usually a reading of less than 2) at any point in your cycle - most labs won't give you a confirmed positive unless you're well over that - i think from memory, most will get you to retest if your levels are under about 80 so that they can see the climb.

if you o'd on day 14, it is possible you may have implanted, but it's highly unlikely you'd have a reading at this point that is related to a pregnancy

Well i definantly didnt o on cd14. I thought that i o'd yesturday, and got overly excited about it, turns out I was wrong though (unless i missed the surg on my OPK but i doubt it) Going by your advice i guess it isnt pregnancy related at all then. Thanks for your help!
