Your anecdotal evidence: gender based on BD and O dates

Hello! Before TTC I contemplated gender swaying, but I lack the dedication to really take it seriously! I've just found out we conceived this cycle (after an early loss in April), and I really don't care if it's a boy or a girl.

However, from my chart I can see that the patterns are exactly the same as when we fell with DS - we DTD only once in the fertile window, the night before O day. So, I'm thinking maybe it's a boy again!?

Any charters willing to share their BD pattern around O day, and what gender they conceived? Would be interested if anyone did get a girl in this situation!

    Thanks.

With DD1 we DTD once 6 days before O. So I was not surprised she was a she. I would have been surprised if she was anything else.

With DD3 we DTD 3days before O. About 2-3hrs afterwards and then maybe 16hours after O. I could have already been pregnant on the 2nd BD just after O.

With this current pregnancy we DTD 4days before O, the day before O, the day of O and the day after O date. I don't know what this bub is and we wont be finding out until the birth

We did similar twice (we had sex right on ovulation with no other sex around the fertile period) and got boys both times. Third baby we had sex more often through the fertile period, not quite sure which day was ovulation but we pretty much had sex every second day and conceived a girl.

I have two girls and despite research showing that the longer living sperm tend to make baby girls (I.e. Prior to ovulation rather than coinciding or closer to ovulation) both of ours were conceived right on ovulation - we think!

I have four girls. My fourth we dtd the day I ovulated only. I was sure we would be having a boy as we had no dtd leading up to the day as my DH was away for 10days. I was blown away by our fourth girl! I think my body favours female sperm!

Ladylove: All babies are conceived at ovulation, the question really is how old was the sperm that they were conceived with? Did you also have sex in the days prior to ovulation?

We DTD 7 days before o with our second and we thought we'd get a girl but we got a boy.

Yep that's right, sorry Meow that's what I meant. With DD2 it was DTD the day of ovulation and two days prior. So the lucky sperm could have been in the first of the three days. With DD1 from memory it was just the once, on or day before O. But I will double check.

    DD1 I dtd on O day...girl
DS I dtd on O day and day after...boy!
    DD3 was supposedly O day...girl

    50/50 chance for sure
