    Help? Can I be pregnant?

Ok! So I'm 19, I just bought my own apartment, have a stable job and a pretty sweet life! I got the Implanon birth control inserted 15 months ago, (the 3 year one), as a precaution.. you know, partying, condoms break, whatever I'm a big planner and needed to feel protected.

The last time I had sex was 10 weeks ago (my best friend and I worked it out..) and the last 4 weeks or so I've been feeling quite sick, general nausea, some days in the morning, i'll have a coffee then be fine, some days its whenever... My boobs have been really super sore, ive got a sore lower back, feeling bloated, super irritable and grumpy, emotional, just all around wierd. My friends convinced me just to take a Pregnancy test to be sure and I got a positive. I got another positive, and one negative, all from different packages.

Could I possibly have a few false positives? Because the Implanon is supposed to be 99% accurate, and its very bizarre that I'm having all these symptoms...

Help?!?!? Has anyone had the Implanon rod and fallen pregnant?

    Hello MissRhi.

I fell pregnant on the pill, different but contraceptive enough...

I truly recommend going for a blood test at your doctor. Even with negative HPTs you are at risk of ECTOPIC PREGNANCY with implanon and one of the worst case scenarios is losing your tube... so pleeeease go and get your bloods done to rule it out.

False negatives have a higher likelihood than false positives so I really, reeeeealllly think you should go to your GP! Sorry to push the issue but I just had implanon inserted so I've had a refresher course on the pregnancy risks pretty recently.

And hey, don't worry about your age lovie!! You are not young and if you are pregnant I am sure you will make a wonderful mummy if you think it is your time age makes no difference hun, I'm one of the young mummies that has proved it.

Get yourself off to your GP and good luck, I hope you get the result you are after.
