Help- positive HPT, now spotting. What does it mean?

Question for a friend:

Been charting with FF, got spotting at 9 and 10 DPO.

She got +ve HPT yesterday at 15 DPO.

+ve HPT with different brand this morning (16 DPO)

Then spotting today, which is when period was due.

I think the 9/10 DPO may have been implantation. Does this sound right?

So what is today? I know some women have unexplained spotting. Is that what it maybe is, or does something special (?) happen at 16DPO/period time?

I am such an amateur!

Hi Kate, firstly great news on +ve test, secondly don't stress!

I had spotting too and I was a teary mess who raced to the obs office only to be fine. I have since been told that you can get spotting when your period is due even though you are pregnant.

If it gets heavier than just spotting, maybe get checked out by your Doc?

yes spotting when your pg is due is common.....up to the 12 week mark ive been told.

Im thinking it could be implantation bleeding or break through bleeding.
