Some places will return a negative if HCG is below a certain number. You need to ask for a quantitative HCG test - that will tell you how much is there, not just a yes/no answer.

oh man that is extremely confusing!! i would be going back to the doctors and asking for another test, or a referral for an u/s just to be sure. so you said after DH got the snip, you got pregnant and had another baby?? hmmm....his sperm must be awesome swimmer!! don't feel stupid, it's perfectly legit, and something you need to get checked out, especially since it's happened before. all the best!!

Oh, Pam. Hugs hunny. How stressful for you. I would go back to the docs too. If you're worried about it, can you go to another doctor, maybe just a medical centre? And as BW said, ask fo a quantitative HCG test, then they can tell you how much HCG is in your blood. Then if you're not pg, there may be other hormonal issues.....hope all is as you want it to be
