I have a mirena IUD as well as DH having the snip, but I am still scared it's not enough if going back on the pill makes you feel better then I think you should do it

lol thats funny....I really don't want to use anything else and so far have been avoiding DTD..we all know how that works out!!!
How long since your DH had his op and has he had a clear test yet?

I think I'd be biting the bullet, Pam, and asking for blood tests and ultrasound because I'd be scaring myself with imagining up an ectopic pregnancy scenario or pending miscarriage. I've been getting the lecture from my GP about using other precautions as I'm still on the mini-pill (finding it harder than I thought it would be to wean Matthew completely...) but I've have been using the odds against anything happening argument too.
Hope you get an answer soon. And that your DH either finds that request form or goes and gets another one!

18 months since my husband had his op but he never got a sample checked (too much bother, too far out his way, etc etc). The mirena was actually to control my periods byt the contraceptive side effect does reassure me a lot (although the fear never quite leaves me that both could fail). What I wanted was a radical hysterectomy but they refused on the basis that I was 28 and healthy :|
