    Smile Home Pregnancy Tests

    How accurate home pregnancy tests?

I have had a really light period over the last few days but thought i had had my period earlier a few weeks ago, so I decided to do a pregnancy test. I ended up doing 3 & they all returned a positive result. I know my hcg level must be high to get a result at night but before we get to excited I wanted to check if there is any chance that having my period could affect the result of a pregnancy test?

Id say the light bleeding you had was implantation bleeding

Congratulations!! When i tested i got 3 faint positives and my doctor said a line is a line that its uncommon to have 3 false tests.

I don't think so, I'm thinking it may be an implantation bleed & congrats are in order
But you could head to your gp for confirmation

Thanks ladies. My husband & I are very excited & my poor husband got the news at work because I couldn't wait to tell him!

Hopefully I don't have to wait long to get into my GP!

My bleeding has continued so my doctor is performing HCG comparison tests to see if in fact i am still pregnant. There is a 50 / 50 chance that i may have lost the baby already. We get the results on Thursday so I am praying we get some positive news! It would make the best birthday present!
