My Ob was also a bit strange about the whole due date thing and I ended up reminding him quite a few times about our agreed due date! When we did agree, I got him to write it on my antenatal card and that was easier because he referred back to that date at all of my appointments. However, I was the opposite and actually wanted him to go off the dating scan as I didn't know when I had my period since I had a miscarriage the cycle before. It turns out that when I did have my baby my placenta was pretty old looking and "gritty" and would apparently have only lasted a few days longer so going off the first day of when the bleeding began during my mc would have been a better EDD than my dating scan.

I hope that makes sense! Basically what I am saying is just stick to your guns and if he refuses to agree with you, I would just tell him at every opportunity that while you respect his right to believe your EDD is X date, you hope he respects your right to know that your EDD is X date and then agree to disagree
