    There are so many elements to gender swaying. Gone are the days where 'boys are faster and live shorter and girls are stronger but swim slower'. Things that many woman are looking into now to increase their chances of conceiving a particular gender include;
    pH;
    Minerals;
    Diet;
    Hormones;
    supplements;
    Timing, and;
    Ions.

    There is lots of info on this site that you may wish to read, https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ation-6-a.html But for more in depth info you will probably have to look elsewhere.

    As for success rates, that can vary depending on the how many of the factors used to sway and how diligent the individuals are when using them.

    I swayed for a boy with DD#4, but now realize that I did not do a very good job of it at the time and understand why I failed, also even if it was a good sway it is never 100% guaranteed.

    We swayed again for this pregnancy (with the help of a-gender) and we will know the outcome in 7 or so months

    Gender Selection & The Shettles Method

    Since the 1960s, Dr. Shettles has recommended gender selection methods which he claims is upheld by scientific evidence. Shettles claims that his gender selection methods for a boy have a success rate of 80-85% and the methods for a girl a little less at 75-80%.

    For what anecdotal evidence is worth, my best friend used Shettles and a very strict diet for she and her husband (v low salt- I think it was all about pH balance), and they were successful in conceiving the girl they wanted.

    We had two boys already and wanted a girl so we tried the following method. It worked for us but obviously there is no promise's.

    It is based on a 28 day cycle - up to day 14 is for a girl and from day 14 is for a boy - the first day of your period being day 1 - so I would recommend playing it safe and maybe only going to day 10 or 11 then using protection for the rest of the month for the first month and if nothing happens then maybe go to day 12 or 13 the next month.
