False positives are VERY rare, and "true" false positive is actually a malfunctioning test. HPTs measure the HCG in our body, the only way you have HCG is if an egg has implanted. Often what a doctor tells you was a false positive (if you really weren't "pregnant") is actually what they call a "chemical pregnancy". Your body has the egg implant and everything, but the cells aren't actually growing. You've got HCG in your system then, but no viable pregnancy. USUALLY those are the kind though where a woman doesn't even know she WAS pregnant because she bleeds heavily around the time of her expected period.

With my first pg, the first symptom I noticed was my sense of smell changed about 8 or 9 dpo - I remember I bought a coat from DJs and couldn't stand the smell of the plastic bag on the way home. The next symptom was going off food I usually liked - the next night we had rainbow trout and to me it literally tasted like dirt and I couldn't eat it. 3 days later I tested (at 13dpo) and got a bfp.

I don't remember any symptoms when I was pg with DD. With my last pg, it was a total surprise, no real symptoms until after I found out (at 15dpo) and it was only in the week following that I had crampy feelings. I would say that in all of my pgs that the crampy feelings are probably the strongest pg symptom and each time they have come after the BFP.

Seems like a lot of the time people have really strong early symptoms that AF ends up coming (I certainly found that last cycle!)

I'm 11dpo and I have NO symptons. I'm on my 2nd IUI with injectables and this time last cycle I had every sympton imaginable, I have nothing right now. I just hope this means good. With my DD I felt sick around 14dpo for about 10 mins and I went home and tested and it wasn't until the 5th or 6th week that everything kicked in.

We're so excited! My first symptoms actually were at around 8 DPO, I felt a ... heaviness in my lower abdomen. It makes no sense medically, but there you go. Also started feeling tired around the same time, not sleepy, just lethargic almost. Then the sore boobs and lower back and by 10 dpo I tested, even though I didn't believe it was positive. But it was! I got to tell Hubband on Father's Day. :-) I took another test yesterday and it was about 4 times as dark as the first one, so I figure that's a good sign. AND? My breasts are already swelling. I've had some mild cramps for the last few days, too, but that wasn't an indicator to me until after we knew I was pregnant because I have had cramps for the last 3 or 4 cycles. Anyway, hope the symptoms list helps someone! I know I devoured them...

Im 4 weeks today, only 8 more to go before we're safely out of the 1st trimester! :-)

HI Girls, hope you don't mind that i join you. I am waiting right now too. On checking my cervix 6DPO i had blood and a little bit of a pulling sensation that afternoon. I have never spotted this early and it is making me very excited. My DH won't sleep with me of fear that he would void the possible PG. I am now 9-10 DPO and i have no symptoms. I have never wanted to feel discomfort more!! Looking for every sign. I feel nothing. My AF usually comes and i know the the day before it comes. My boobs get sore leading up to and i get the poops! I have endo and that is one of my symptoms.
If i am having no symptoms, can i still be pregnant. i can not wait to test! 4 days to go.
Reading your positive results make me feel good but we are LTTTC which is where you would usual find me.
