are you sure you are pg- with all those tests you took - lolol

    that is funny

i must be a freak as i think i used one test when pg with twin and this time if used two as i was in such shock and felt it was only at DH insitence that i used the second one in the box!

Mind you with a/c i had to do o'ing tests heaps for my clinic so i got my fix out that way with that- after 7 cycles of assisted conception- i was over them!

you gotta love that feeling when you get two lines hey!!

Celsie, you made me feel alot better about my 4 tests. I still have 2 left though I may just test to use them up and make sure before we tell our parents on DS's b'day.

    Great thread!
I love testing! It's the ultimate science experiment involving your own body. I love testing to see when I ovulate when I'm TTC or waiting for AF after m/c, and I am a PIAC-aholic for HPTs. Lullaby Conceptions used to have great packs, not sure if they still do. But when it came to HPT time, I liked to use a range of tests to compare them. I was away from home visiting family in Qld and then in Hong Kong when I first got a positive with my current pg and so I hit the Priceline chemists in the Brissie mall and bought the Elevit HPTs (came with mini pack of pg multivits), Discover One Step early pg test (brilliant), Crystal Clear (the blue line ones), Pregnosis, the digital Clear Blue (comes up with the word pregnant) - there's something about these ones that makes it all seem definite. It was good to have a variety pack anyway.
I'd test from 10DPO until either AF arrived or the test line was darker than the control line. And I'd take pictures of a few different brand HPTs (the positive ones) against a piece of paper that was dated. Great for baby's diary and emails to friends! It's also a reassurance thing for me - I've had a few chem pregnancies and two m/c. When it came time to go to the doctor's for that first appointment, I liked to test that morning just to make sure! Also felt reassuring to have a couple of positives in a ziplock bag to show the GP if necessary. (Result of a bad experience with a GP who actually looked at his watch and said "a bit early" when I came in at 16DPO after getting a positive on the digital HPT)
And I know I'm not the only one out there who does this, *waves* to TTCAML and TTC 1-6 month buddies ! Mind you, I wouldn't pressure everyone to be like me.
I just happen to think it's the best feeling seeing that second line when you're on the TTC rollercoaster (particularly the rocky ones). Good luck to everyone who is on the TTC journey! :goodluck2:
