I think I might be.....

I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was a BFP!

I have been monitoring my AF and was expecting that it would be irregular, and come later then 28 days. I couldnt wait and took a HPT on day 27, was a BFN. I waited and waited and AF still hadnt shown up a week later. I waited 2 more days, and still no sign of AF. We decided to test, because either way, we needed to know what was going on.

I woke this morning after a strange dream: I had taken a HPT and it was positive. I had left the stick in the pee too long so I said it was faulty. I did another one and it was still positive.

I woke up thinking "why would I be tortured with a dream like this the morning I am going to take a HPT?".

I got up and did my HPT, 2 lines appeared. I ran into my husband (at 630am) yelling "I think there is 2 lines. Is there 2 lines or am I imagining it?"

Sure enough there was 2 lines there.

I am off to the docs asap to confirm!

Should I be excited or cautious?

Is it possible that pregnacy tests get it wrong? I took the First Response HPT.

False positives are extremely rare unless you are undergoing assisted conception and using hormones.

So it should be a reliable positive if I have been off the pill for 5 months, and not taking any hormones or assisted conception (besides natural herbs)?
Then this is real? Its happened? I think I will be more settled after the blood test.
