Thanks everyone for your kind comments. It seems that everyone around me at the moment has either had a baby or is pregnant so the days can't go by quick enough for me. I am VERY clucky!
I'll just keep charting and waiting to see if I ovulate this month and all I can do is hope it all happens smoothly for me. When we conceived my son, I actually went off the pill to try and increase my libido a bit - I wasn't expecting to get pregnant but it happened within a couple of months of going off the pill so hopefully this time will be similar.
I'll check with my Naturopath about the folate - I don't think it would hurt taking more than 500mcg (?) but I'll ask anyway.
My journey continues this week and I have been finding that I'm checking my CM daily but don't see a lot of change in it yet - maybe slightly wetter but not sure - it still looks a bit like clear lotion. Anyway, my OPKs have been negative too for the past 4 days. According to FF this is my fertile few days but I'm not sure how long my cycle will be. It notes that I am on CD13 so I guess I just need to wait.
I have also started drinking a glass of grapefruit juice every day - apparently that helps increase CM?? ANy feedback on this one?
I'll keep taking my OPKs daily although it might get a bit expensive ($24 for 7 OPKs from the supermarket).
I think I'm getting obsessive as its all I can think about all day.
Yay for TTC #2 - I am as well, though it's taking longer than I thought it would..
Dr Google (ha ha) seems to suggest that taking extra folate will just come out in your wee if your body doesn't need it. Although I'm terrible and keep forgetting to take it - luckily my diet is pretty decent and a lot of breads have extra folate now as well.
Best of luck, come hang with us in the TTC buddies section
Thanks Cranky Kitten - yes, I'll come hang out with you all and wait to TTC soon!
The naturopath I see prescribed In Natal from Bioceuticals and just one per day (not the recommended 2x day dosage) so becasue one capsule has 250mcg folic acid, I'm continuing to take the Blackmores 500mcg tablet also.
I also have a Iron/Calcium supplement for later on when I become pregnant.
