Hi everyone, I'm 37 I have 3 kids whoa are 11, 7 and 5. My partner has 4 kids, 17, 13, 10 and 2 and we just found out I'm pregnant!!
I've had a bit of a wierd week, we only found out I was preg on Monday, had U/S Tuesday because we weren't sure of dates and there was no visible fetus, and some sort of "mass" on my left ovary. My hcg was only 576 so that explained no visible fetus, but they were convinced it was ectopic. On Friday I was admitted to Monash hospital, but they didn't really think ectopic, but couldn't be sure. Ultrasound yesterday showed a 4 week, 6 day gestational sac in my uterus. The "mass" on my left ovary is in fact 2 corpus luteums and they found another corpus luteum on my right ovary!!!!
The radiologist was beside himself and ran off to get the head of the radiology dept, they were talking about possible multiple pregnancy and were tripping 'cos I'm not on ivf or anything, supposedly the endometrium is thick also?
According to the gyno, its uncommon for multiples like this so he thinks probably unlikely. Anyone have any thoughts?? I've never had a pregnancy with more than one corpus luteum, whats the go with 3???????
