Hi! I stopped taking the pill in April after being on it for ages! Dr said to wait 3 months before ttc but the waiting got to me too, so we started earlier.
I always wrote down my AF days on a calendar, even before ttc as I was always very irregular and looking for any kind of pattern. Now, I chart CM and use a saliva ovulation tester but don't temp or use OPK's - just a personal choice as I'm trying not to drive myself crazy by becoming too obsessed with ttc. Knowing you're body's signs is actually quite empowering, I have found.
Smiles4u is right about telling people you are ttc. I really, really wanted to tell everybody, shout it from the roof tops! But, I'm really glad I haven't as it's taken awhile and the few people I have told drive me crazy every time I see them with their whispered, "Are you preg yet?' comments. Havning said that, you definitely need to tell someone, which is why BB is so great.
You might also want to start taking folic acid about 3 months before ttc, it's pretty important in the first trimester and if you wait until you know you're preg, then half of that time has already gone!
Good luck on your ttc journey.
