    Hi ladies...

Was just reading all of your posts - actually, I have been reading them for about 6 weeks and thinking, I should join and so now I will!!!

Hubby and I decided that we would concieve in the new year (09), so I bought the conceieve well gold vitamins and took them from 1 jan. After 10 years on the pill, I was a little nervous and threw the packet out I am 30, my hubby is 41.

Got my period on the 28th of Jan and told hubby that this month (Feb), I was actually going to work out when I ovulated (and get serious!)

I calculated the dates on a baby website (dates of ovulation). Actually - I checked out about three different sites for ovulation dates and they all differed, so I just made the expected period of ovulation longer (I hope that makes sense!) Then we went for it (excuse the pun!)

We had sex nearly every day until the end of my 'supposed' ovulation period (and we started to wear out!) So, we then had sex every 2nd day - so it wouldnt become too monotonous - lol! I was fully convinced I hadnt ovulated (and so was my hubby) - none of the clear mucus they spoke about at all!

Anyway, the day my period was due (last week) I took a test thinking, you never know????

And guess what, STRAIGHT AWAY IT FLASHED UP PREGNANT!
Whatever you do, get those digital tests - they are fab! (They say pregnant or not pregnant) I did the usual two line pregnancy test the next day and the line was so faint, I probably wouldnt have believed it!

I have been to the doctors - had all my tests and its all been confirmed today. I just booked my obstetrician and my hospital (st vincents private) and I am due on the 4th of November (they have even given me the date!)

    SO...

Ladies - good luck with everything. At this stage, I am only 3 weeks pregnant, so a few weeks to get through until I feel less worried...

My advice to you all TTC is to just have lots of sex! Patricularly around the time you are supposed to ovulate. But looking for mucus and that sort of stuff - it didnt work for me and I was getting frustrated and that was the first month we were serious! Just do a google search for an ovulation calculator - then work out your dates - and try that for a few months. It worked brilliantly for us!

Lots of baby dust to you all x
